Thiinking If Getting A New Hookah

Recommended Posts

I think that is a very pretty hookah as well, but i have been witness to what New2Hookah is saying. Someone who i recently befriended owns a tri-Metal, i found rust in the downstem, but it was easily wiped away with a finger, but it was there.
I myself would not invest in any KM but an Amer, as i did. This is why i would prefer a brass downstem hookah. I am not a big fan of Stainless steel, but i'm sure that with the proper care, nothing will go wrong. The traditional feel of a KM is unmatchable. I would reccomend something other than thr Tri-Metal though. A Hafa for instance.

KM doesnt actually produce the Tri, they buy it from another mfg. You can check the hose port and see that it doesnt have the KM markings like all of the others. Stick with one of the KM's that they hand make if you want proven quality.

thanks Zen. I realli like both of those posted. I have been reading about it would be better to have a brass downsteam(core).

I liked to the Goldnen Tangerine KM that you posted. It has a core and center tube made of brass which I like.

rust is a big concern of mine and would not like to possibly experience that later Edited by waterboi

See the 32" Tri-Metal Khalil Mamoon has a stem is constructed with 3 metals. It is composed of a copper center with a brass core and a stainless steel down tube, tray, and accents.

The 32" Golden Tangerine Khalil Mamoon is nickel plated with a core and center tube made of brass. The stem has a beveled top to insure the integrity of the welds.

i am still open for sugeestions but these two are may choices for now. I am having a hard time deciding. lol

Syrians from JandR , piratehookahs, and SocialSmoke all have brass downstems. I don't know of any current Egyptians on the market with Brass downstems. I actually just bought a JandR/Piratehookahs Syrian, and it should be shipping soon.

The Dahab and the Tangerine look very solid. if you want my opinion, i'd get the Dahab because it beats the Tangerine in looks. I'm sure they both are of the same quality.

Also, if you dry the inside of your whole stem after you rinse your hookah after your smoke, you will prevent rust. Rust isn't a huge problem when you take care of your stem. I just am curious as to the Brass core KM that this kid has that i saw a couple days ago, as it is rusting after every smoke. The downstem is not rusting, the rust is dripping from the center of the core. It makes me wonder...

well i think i may take your advice and get the Dahab plus it is a unique piece and I take care and clean my hookahs after every use and make sure they are dry. Thanks for all the advice and help. This forum is so helpful and makes smoking hookah enjoyable.
