Hi I'm A Noob And I've Got A Few Questions

I started with somehting similar, i would reccomend one of these. I really loved mine until it was jacked.

Dilute the Alcohol! Unless you want a headache from HELL.

Add more hoils to your foil, three isn't enough. Use a toothpick and poke about 4 circle rows of holes about 1/2" apart i'd say roughly.

For hole poking, I use a toothpick and poke it in a # sign pattern. Works so great, that's all I use. As for base additions, adding alcohol will make the inhale insanely hard. I can't really describe it, it's just hard.

As a starter, that's a perfect starter hookah. Decent but not great so your next one will be great.

hey man I right were your at i just got my first one a couple weeks ago then me and friend enjoyed it so much we matched up and got another better one (the pictures of both are on my album) the first one we got looks just likes yours just a different color. I enjoyed that little one but the only down side to it was even with ice in the base the smoke was still pretty hot coming out.
the one i got was a MYA and by god i love the thing it was completely worth the $130 we spent on it. It's a one hose and the bowl that came with is a good size for our need considering that with two people smoking it lasts about and hour and fifteen minutes, trust me the size difference was definitely noticeable in the smoke a lot thicker and a hell of a lot easier to hit.

for your hole situation I usualy use a tooth pick and put about maybe 8 good long rows of holes running across the foil and sometimes i just put foil on the bottom of the bowl and put the coal right on top of the shisha, the smoke is a tad bit more harsh but I notice the flavor increases considerably.

About alcohol in the base as long as you dilute it considerably you should be fine, personally i just add a little bit of rose water in with the good old tap water and ice cubes. it enhances the flavor of the smoke (goes great with Pharaoh's sex on the beach) and give you a little thicker of smoke. a couple of my friends have been making ice cubes out of different sodas and juices they say its awesome, gets the water nice and cold and a few rotations in to the session all the flavor from the melted ice cubes is a pleasant surprise (I'm going to try it out for my next session).

so what ratio would ya'll say water to alcohol?

I think I might smoke some this evening and try playing with the holes in the foil and trying ya'lls methods.

Another question I thought of is, Is layalina a good tobacco? I bought it because thats all the place we went to had but I've found a few more places that sell other stuff. The reason I ask this is because on of my friends said that it wasn't as strong as what she'd smoked in the past then said she had smoked starbuzz in the past but I really don't want to spend that much money because I like to change flavors alot.

In ya'lls experience does the coal tray (or whatever the tecnical term for it is) tend to rattle a little? Or is it supposed to be tight fitting? Because the ash tray or coal tray on my hookah just sits loosely on top of the stem and rattles a little when you inhale from the hose, its not really that big of a deal but it gets kind of irritating sometimes.

Layalina's a good tobacco - not my personal favorite, but it's one of the better ones. The tray rattling is normal; if you've got your tongs sitting on it try putting them somewhere else. The only time my tray rattles is when I've got my tongs resting on it. Just don't have the end of them sitting on like paper or anything burnable

alcohol in the base - i dont think its reall a ratio, more of a set volume.

using my QT, the other day i filled it up about 1 inch with vodka, thinking its enough, since thats like 1/3 the base, but it didnt work very well, i am going to experiment with mroe next time. i think theres like a certain volume u need to use each time.
