waterboi
So i have 2 Mya hookahs( Vortex and Bambino). I now want an Egyptian and I have it narrowed down to this Dahab I believe . What are you guys thoughts of this piece. I am thinking of placing an order today for this. I am just not familiar with this style and want you guys thoughts and suggestions. TIAThis is a brass and copper traditional Egyptian hookah. The stem is a durable and heavy unit that has become rare on the U.S. market. The glass is one of the largest we have ever carried, which is approximately 12 inches high and 5 inches wide at the base. The large tear drop shape of the glass holds the weight of the water toward the bottom, making the hookah stable while smoking. The hose is a 68 inch Luxury Caravan with a detachable mouth piece. Enjoy the pride and pleasure of hookah smoking with this very unique piece.
SafeSearchOff
looks classy, but three things:1) Don't forget, it seems anyone who gets a hookah from HC that has a fully painted base - the paint chips off after 2 or 3 cleanings2) If the paint isnt opaque, your going to have a hell of a learning curve filling that base3) Personally, not a fan of teardrop bases. Didnt think about the whole painted base thing.

waterboi
now I am thinking about the32" Golden Tangerine Khalil Mamoo nThere is so many choices!!!This is a heavy duty Egyptian hookah. It is nickel plated with a core and center tube made of brass. The stem has a beveled top to insure the integrity of the welds. The traditional leather hose is made by Khalil Mamoun, which is dyed to match the frosted glass Edited October 22, 2007 by waterboi
ZenSilk
I like that one, like i said before! I'd go for that one. "tube and center core made of brass"That right there sold me.

New2Hookah
The tangerine. It\'s just a typical Egyptian vase. Nothing special there. The shaft looks out of place on it.As far as image, the Dahab looks much better as a shaft/vase combo. As the other members said though, who knows about the vase painting. On a side note, \"Dahab\" means \"Gold\" in Arabic. Its a fitting description for that hookah. ZenSilk
I liek the base of the Tangerine, it is plain, but orange is a good color. The Dahab looks wayy better of course. But the Tangerine has a better stem IMO.

ZenSilk
I say go Tangerine. It's cheaper, and although doesn't look as nice as the Dahab, will last longer and is preobably sturdier (the vase has a wider surface area touching the ground). I love to do research before I purchase anything. J and R and Social smoke have some very pretty and good quality hookahs. I still think I leaning to the KM Tangerine. O and I still would love to see pics of the others!
New2Hookah
I\'ll add my vote to the J & R. You should see his new line of Syrians, unbelievably nice.Can\'t wait to see images as well, Im ready to order my J & R Syrian as well! Im leaning towards these:http://jandrhookahs.com/25-blue-and-gold-g...-stem-p-95.htmlhttp://jandrhookahs.com/29-3tone-syrian-p-96.htmlhttp://jandrhookahs.com/22-1-hose-traditon...-stem-p-94.htmlI think their image gallery is a brillant feature.I am still considering these, however:http://www.hookahcompany.com/al_kareem_syr...h_2239_prd1.htmhttp://www.hookahcompany.com/dahab_egyptia...h_2501_prd1.htm
ZenSilk
The Al Kareem always sooner or later comes up, but only one person has ever gone with it. It is Nour style, and has a brass downstem apparently. I love it, but i would rather get a JandR because i know for a fact that they are Brass cored with Brass downstems, and i like how they come apart. Easy Cleaning. And after all this stuff about HC.. maybe a JandR Is the way to go? But the stem on the Tangerine from HC is just amazing. I like the look of it. I like the traditonal vibe you get when you look at it. Gosh... But i am happy with my JandR syrian Purchase.

ZenSilk
I actually bought it from Piratehookahs, it was the 29" 3 hose , but i got the base in Blue and Gold, and i think it looks like the one that HookahETC has listed on the other forum (as a 29" 3 hose, and next to it it says "SOLD")OHh yes, i'm having it drop shipped from JandR . That's how amazing JandR and Piratehookahs customer service is. (not kidding, seriously it is awesome). Edited October 23, 2007 by ZenSilk
