I am really wanting to place an order with these guys tonight for a Tangerine KM and all these reviews have me wondering

Nah dude, every order i've had with them (including a KM Amer) went perfectly, they even gave me not shitty shisha instead of shitty. smile.gif
Just order, i think they take a long time ot reply cause they are one of the busiest online vendor at the moment. (up with Hookah-shisha). Their customer service just isn't quite top-notch like H-S's is.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've had an OKAY experience with HC. My only qualms with them is with their service. They always seem to take the longest amount of time to ship their products aka take up the full process time (which doesn't make their business bad or anything...). Just a heads up if you're rushed for time...

Hookah Company just keeps getting worse and worse. It's funny, I actually knew I was going to see a thread about this before I even opened up the forum. I placed another order with them on Saturday and just now remembered that I'm probably not gonna hear anything about it shipping for at least another week...

crap man, more than a week to get it processed and shipped??

No, the multiple fires going in San Diego. Parts of Encinitas (where they are located) were evacuated today i guess due to multiple fires converging nearby at least according to this map i checked earlier today.

The Santa Ana winds out here suck right now. 5% humidity ugh o_O

Its really pathetic how people have to use this forum as an excuse to get what they want outta the company. Companies are slackin based on all these complaints. I\'m glad when I made my purchase, everything was 110% smooth quick and reliable.

this is very true. the companies should do it right the first time. havent they ever heard of that thing where if one customer has a bad experience and tells three of his friends and those three friends tell another three friends each and so on... well that is basically double time here at the hookah forum because everyone gets to hear about it.

So HookahCompany finally responded to my phone calls and said that they will get to putting a claim with FedEx by either Thursday or Friday, they still haven't checked the email with the pictures of the shattered base that was sent at 3:42pm EST Thursday October 18th, which was 7 minutes after i contacted them by phone to tell them that the vase was shattered when i opened up the box 10 minutes prior to that. The thing i am dissappointed about is that i told them, "I will have the pictures sent in under 10 minutes". and they have "We have yet to look at your email." This would also not had bothered me had when i received a call from them today their excuse was "We have been closed for the past 4 days because of the fires in san diego", but i sent it 5 days ago at 12:42pm PST and they are open until 6:00pm PST.

I can understand a delay due to the current state of California in the San Diego region, but there should not be an additional delay becuase they did not file a claim with FedEx in a timely manner.

Just my 2cents of how i am coming to find how piss poor their customer service really is, which is in turn making me consider never buying from them again. Edited by chrisrbts

You may not realize it but the fires have been going on here for a couple weeks. Not just 5 days. At this moment more than half a million people are in evac and every single construction site is shut down because of the winds.

I have spent several hundred dollars with Hookah Company and they have never once let me down and they answered everyone of my requests promptly and efficiently. If you consider that piss poor service then I'm not sure what you'd consider good service. Any company can have a less than perfect record because of the people working for them. Those people move on, better people take over and stuff gets done faster. I'm helping to clean up a mess right now because of a Project Manager who wasn't doing his job. He's now history and we're having to clean up the job sites and things left hanging out. Shit happens. Do you really think that the owners of Hookah Company got up this morning and said "Wow, let's see how we can let our customers down today?" Come on people......

i've bought from HC twice, never had a problem. orders shipped quickly, nothing broken. however, after 3 months of using my wrapped KM leather hose the hande litterally broke off from the hose. w/e though, bottom line is they have gotten me quality products without any problems, dunno what everyone's deal is.

OK, think of HookahCompany like this...

No other site offers you Starbuzz shisha and Exotica Coals. No other site even offeres Smiley's Cocnut Coals at all.

HC has a very adequate line of hookahs with Brass parts, and as we all know, brass is best. Every week they make an addition to their ite, whether it be hoses, hookahs, or shisha. OK, examples you ask... Tangerine Hookah, Dahab Hookah, Exotica Coals, 50 Gram Fusion samplers.

OK, so they have the largest online cataligue of Hookah-Related items right? Now, just think of all those people who are buying hookah stuff, and hookahs. They don't have to be members of the forum, hell, for 2 years i have been buying hookah stuff online and just this year did i discover this site. Also, when you search "Hookah", hookahcompany will come up along with other sites on the front page. A noob will like Hookah-Shisha's site and HC's site the best, because they are easy to navigate and have rather large catalogues. Now these people will randomly buy hookahs and stuff as well.

They are a busy company, yet they can get every package i order to me on time, and go out of their way to make me happy and not give me Nakhla Mixed Fruit.

They are an amazing and large company, with prices that rival other competitors (most HC prices are $1.00 cheaper). Their shipping rates are loe as well.

I will also only buy SB tobacco from them (excluding contacts, or hook-ups).

O/T, but why is this? I can't really see why brass is better than any other non-rusting metal.

yeah, im curiouse about that too

Cause that "Non-Rusting" Metal is known to rust. Even if not in a year, it will sonner or later (sooner) rust.

It is thinner, and not as durable as brass. A Brass hookah will last you til the end of your years, a "Stainless" steel hookah will last you a schoolyear.

I don't know about you guys.. but i really like to know for a fact that my hookah will never rust, feels sturdy and heavy to the touch, and can take a beating or 10.

But this isn't about Brass parts, this is about HC and their "Shitty" service. They continue to offer all of you the best hookahs and hookah necessities they can get, at a low price. I really like them, you can't blame them for nature-related (or human-caused?) disasters that keep their Delivery company from delivering for them.

As for customer service, i do think that it could use an upgrade. If it was at H-S quality, there would be no need for this thread.

That's a naive outlook.

You think any company with a below par customer service says "Wow, let's how we can let our customers down today?". C'mon. It just means they're not balancing their prevention and appraisal costs with their internal & external costs. I'm not saying that their they're always woeful; just lacking quality in their CS compared to their competitors based on my and friend's personal experience.

Everyone needs to chill out on this HC issue. They are a good company. It\'s not the easiest thing in the world driving up to work with your backyard on fire. Mistakes happen. They\'ll fix them, just relaxxxx.

I think I am about to give them a chance on the 32" Golden Tangerine
