Bushbr
I've been surfing the hookah channels for a while, i just recently got hooked on this awesome thing that is the hookah, and i've been reading up, but i've recieved some mix signals. is it ok to keep your shisha in the fridge or not?some sites say it's the best way to do it, while other sites say to NOT do it. I'm taking my question to the people who know best, the smokers. what do I do?
shisha fan
i asked the same question once, and someone told me that shisha dries out in the freezer and fridge. acclimating is a good idea though, rayver recently made a great topic about it. OPR234
My local hookah bar keeps some of their open tubs in a fridge. But you gotta keep in mind, that shit probably doesnt last long enough to suffer any negative effects. They store their unopened stock in tubs at room temp.If I remember correctly, putting your shisha in the fridge/freezer an hour or two you pack it and smoke it is supposed to make it a lot nicer somehow. I actually tried it, but it just took a really long time to start up and it never got really thick smoke. I dont know if i waited long enough or something, though. My opinion- keep it in airtight tubs at room temp, it gets started quicker and you still have awesome sessions. Keep the cold shit to the base.
hookah hippie
DON'T PUT YOUR TOBACCO IN THE FRIDGE OR FREEZER
ASUSEAN1
unless you are planning to smoke in the fridge/freezer, don't store your shisha there. There are a few exceptions where this rule doesn't apply.. from what i found that is mostly from al waha and al fakher.. some people put a few others in the fridge/freezer but def. def. do not put tangiers in the freezer unless you want really harsh smoke and a nic kick in the aZZ
MechAnt
The only brand where you may see a POSITIVE difference in flavor and smoke when keeping it in the fridge is Smileys. Then again, it doesnt have much taste to begin with. All other brands lose some flavor and thick smoke if kept in there. Keep your shisha at the temp of your environment you smoke in. Big fluctuations in the temp will kill the flavor, not just for that session, but for the whole batch that's been exposed to the temp changes. staygone
Putting the shisha in the fridge/freezer is as cool as punching yourself in the nuts. Think about the humidity and acclimate accordingly to your smoking environment.-QM
SafeSearchOff
putting shisha in the fridge severely dehydrates the shisha.if you want to know what its like, make yourself a sandwich. eat 1 half, put 1 half in the fridge for 2 or 3 hours. the bread will freaking suck hard. same way with shisha. ghostofdavid
No to the freezer/fridge. There isn't a point in it. You should be able to smoke your baccy before it goes bad.

staygone
You ever smoke in your garage at -20 degrees? My folks don't like hookah indoors, but if you have to, setup indoors, let the bowl get nice and hot, then put a windcover over the bowl when you smoke. You'll be set to go.-QM Edited October 24, 2007 by QuiltedMaple
