and yah, i know that no smoking is GOOD for you, but if they are under 18 and they want to try it, it wont be illegal, because it's not tobbaco, that was the point i was trying to make, not that it was healthy.

Actually, every college I know of doesn't allow smoking within the premise.

You're allowed to smoke inside dorms, libraries and school buildings? blink.gif

Yea, of course. On campus grounds as long as it's publically funded, you can smoke anywhere outside. So you can't smoke on campus grounds either if there is a smoking ban in MN, eh? What kind of smoking ban is that? That sucks. Here in Maryland, beginning Feb. 1, 2008, smoking is illegal in bars, restaurants and private club but not in public areas.

Here in Cincinnati, Ohio that is already in affect. Its a big bummer, like all the break rooms at work places had to be moved outside and stuff. It def sucks for the bars, def loosing a bunch of customers i think.

no we can still smoke outside, becasue it's a private college, but the college wants to go smokeless, an that would truly suck. i don't understand how the government can tell a private buisness what they can and cannot let their customers do. its really stupid.

Well not all. UCSB, where I attend, doesn't care about smoking so long as its 20 feet away from a building entrance or operating window. Hookahs are allows but they are banned from even storing in dorms or using on the premises of residential buildings inside or out. I got caught and cited so I'm on probation for the rest of the year so I can only smoke hookah if I goto one of my friends' house in the neighboring town sad.gif

every school in CA allows the use of hookahs on thier campuses. in the dorms and even out side on the grass or steps or whatever, its totally 100% allowed.

Sir that isn't true at my college you have to smoke thirty feet away from the buildings.
