Mya Qt Or Bambino

Recommended Posts

I read up on the reviews for the Mya QT, but I saw the bambino at Hookah-Shisha.com and was curious on what everyone thought, I usually go with 26-32 inch ones, but I thought a smaller one would be more convenient.

Appriecate the feed back,
John

from what i've read, the bambino has a stronger base(recently, it seems the QT bases have been prone to cracking and breaking...just what i've read, no personal experience here), but lacks the ability to ever be upgraded past a single hose smoker. Also, it comes with a sturdy hardshell case...it's also a bit challenging to find the right water level(i know this from personal experience). the QT has the ability to be upgraded to two hoses with a $7 adaptor, which is nice if you're smoking with more than 2 or 3 people. the cage you get with the QT is nice and convenient, but lacks any real protective power if you were to toss it in your trunk or something to bring it with you.

Both are nice hookahs that smoke well and look great, are easily taken apart to be brought anywhere, and have sturdy stems, and easily replaceable bases, just in case the worst were to happen accidentally.

now, if it were me, i'd go with the QT based solely on the fact that it can be upgraded to two hoses, but it comes down to a matter of personal preference. as long as you can pack a bowl well, both will perform the same and will be good hookahs for travel, but the added hose just nudges the bambino out. so, my advice to you is to go with whichever you think looks better as long as you don't mind being stuck to one hose.

I first bought the Qt and returned it for the Bambino. The reason I returned the QT mainly was that I had a few things that was wrong with it. It had a unlevel base and the hose leaked(probably just a defective one). I never smoked from the QT so I can't say anything about it. The Bambino on the other hand I kept and really enjoy. It smokes very well and very good quality. The hard case is a plus for me. I liked it over the wire cage but to each his own. The Bambino has a very unique shape also I think. The Bambino is only a one hose and cant be upgraded to two hoses as the QT can be . The water level on the Bambino is actually very easy to get right. I usually fill mine to the 5th row of lines.

I would chose the Bambino over the QT if upgrading to a two hose is not a concern. I did notice that the Bambino did have a sturdier and better made base. At least it seemed to . I hope this helps alittle. Edited by waterboi

Awesome, thanks a lot, still deciding tho... QT's 2 hose option sounds good, but I Already have a 4 port, pretty much want o be sure im grabbing one that wont be crappy lol

Well both will be nice. Another reason I kept the Bambino is that I have a Vortex that has multi hose if needed. Small one is mainly for me and if a friend is around.

I've been having a QT for quite a longgg time now and finally decided to get another small Hookah so I ordered a Bambino from H-S. After smoking from both Hookah's after weeks, I can certainly tell you that the QT is the better choice. I was kind of disappointed because I thought my new Bam would smoke better than my old QT.

Good hose quality with both? or is it one of the crappy skinny small ones that you see the generic flea market ones

Hmm, a Mya Hookah... all mya Parts..... I'd say a Mya Hose. tongue.gif

And New2 is right about what he said. Even if you don't want a large egyptian, there's still fatutas and such under 18" on HC (ohh wait, everyone hates HC now...). I would prefer on of those over anything. Actually, i think i might get one.
