Tangiers Acclimation

Recommended Posts

well people have said they do it for 24hr... so I don't think 20 hours would be bad. I've never done it myself. One time I went to class, left it acclimating while I was at school and put it back in a jar when I got home. It was out for 8 hours and it was just fine

You just have to acclimate it the first time... however I (and some others) like to acclimate it by opening the jar 30 minutes before every session.

I htink acclimating it longer reduces the buzz and tingle. or maybe i'm really good at packing Tangiers?? I;m not sure. I always acclimate for 1 or 2 days. The juice never seems to go away.. just sink to the bottom, then you mix it right up.. and BAM! Flavor-bonanza.

I always acclimate the whole tub for about 4 hours for the first time and i usually acclimate it about 30minutes prior to each smoke (what ive packed in the phunnel, not the whole tub).

I have noticed that if you do acclimate it for too long, it seems to have less flavor. For example, i packed my bowl and poked holes in the foil and headed over to my friends house (acclimating as i drive). Arrived to his house, change of plans we went out. So I left the bowl in the house. We got back about 6 hours later in lit it up. Very little flavor, if any.
