Can Anyone Help Me Identify This Hookah?

would you mind taking a picture of the Heart, where the downstem (the tube that goes into the water) connects to? Just lift it out of the vase and take a picture so we are able to see the holes in the part where the downstem is connecting.

Is the stem made of brass (it looks like it is), is it heavy, and is the soldering work on the hose port rough or smooth?

Stem is made of brass, heavy (yes ) .... The Hoose port is very smooth. Edited by Ooph

I'm gonna say a Syrian, and a Damn nice one at that. Is the downstem brass as well?

Yeah the downstem is brass as well. I will take better pics when I dismantle this thing after this coal. Edited by Ooph

Hmm, well if it's made entirely of brass, and the downstem screws off, and maybe you can also see if the bowl adapter (at the tippy top) also screws off. If the downstem screws off i'm for sure going to say that it's a Syrian Hookah, because in order to make threads on parts you need a machine, and most Syrians are made by machine, instead of by hand. The vase looks very nice, it is a genie vase.

Wow. WOW. Umm, whered that person who got that for you get that???
Even though it's a soldered downstem, i still think it's a rather old Syrian, a very traditionally built one. By the oxidation on the heart and downstem, it is for sure made of solid brass, and most likely pretty old, or has been sitting in water tongue.gif .

Your a lucky guy. biggrin.gif

Not really sure where he got it from, I do let the stem sit in Water maybe I should stop doing that lol.

I think the only flaw I see with this Hookah, is the Bowl and Hose. Do you think you can recommend me a bowl or hose for this type of Hookah? Edited by Ooph

Looks Syrian yet kind of Egyptian. My friend has one that looks extremely similar (also pure brass) but she doesnt know what exactly what it is. For bowl and hose recommendations, post in the main discussion.

My guess would be a Syrian stem on an Egyptian "genie" base. I would venture a guess that the stem is quite a bit older than the vase. Very nice piece. I would avoid cleaning the patina off unless I absolutely had to.

That is one beautiful hookah. I really like the attention to detail on the vase and the ornate stem. Looks much less manufactured than what you mostly see nowadays. All of my hookahs look like they are straight out of a mold.
