How much tobacco is used in one sitting?

I am new to smoking, and am wondering how long 50g or 250g packages last... one session? ten sessions?  I want to know so I can know how much tobacco i should order.  It sucks that saharasmoke.com doesn't have any tobacco... means I'll have to pay extra too get tobacco from another site... (I am thinking of getting the Dragon hookah from them as a first hookah... I hear it is ugly but hits really hard).

Welcome Danguarda.

Your massel consumption pr session will of course in the end depend on
the size of your head but a figure often mentioned is 10 gr pr head so
you are probably to be in that order. A 250 gr pack is often said to
last for 30 heads - in which case a head is a little more than the 10
gr mentioned before.

Hope that gives you an idea of what amounts you will get when ordering.
50 gr is enough to test and taste a new flavour thoroughly in 5-6
sessions and 250 gr will provide i little "stash" of those flavours
that you would want to have for some time for regular smokes.

Don't make the mistake I made the first time I ordered of buying ALL
250gram containers.  There's a pretty good chance depending on
what brand of tobacco you order that you're not going to like some of
the flavors.  In which case,  you will have wasted ALL THAT
MONEY on flavors you're just going to end up throwing away.

Word of advice,  NEVER throw away good tobacco
(aka....ma'assel).  There are MANY members of this forum who will
pay you to send them the tobacco you don't want.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and just order a 500gram assortment box of the
flavos you want to try for your first order.  After that, 
you'll have some idea of what to order in 250gram packs in the on your
2nd order

Also, the sessions last varries with brands of ma'assel. Romman and Al
Fakher are going to give you a longer session than Nakhala simply
because Nakhla is alot drier than the other two. Al Waha and Al Amir
are in between. I typically get 1.5 hour from Romman, 1.25 from Al
Fakher and 45 minutes from Nakhala. Hookah Hookah although some are
flavorful only last about 30 minutes because of its extra fine cut.
