New Hookah And Shisha On The Way!

Recommended Posts

Well I finally decided to add an egyptian to my collection. I decided to go with the 32" Tangerine. It has a Core and center tube made of brass.

I also orderd a tub of Al Fakher grape, Al Waha After nine, SB X on The Beach, SB Pumpkin Pie, and SB White Peach.
Now all I have to do is wait patiently on my pages to get here! Edited by waterboi

Ok so I got my package Saturday and everything was there and packed very well. Only one little problem though. It has an air leak where the port and shaft meet. sad.gif I e-mailed and will contact HC tomorrow to check and see what we can do about that. Kind of a big disappointment because I really wanted to smoke out of it this week . Hopefully I can get a replacement shaft sent to me before the weekend. I will do a review on it after I get the shaft fixed. But here is a pic anyway. Also got me a little shisha also. biggrin.gif

Nice choice... on everything! smile.gif

Bummer about the leak. I am sure H-S will be more than happy to help rectify the problem. Keep us updated!

The only thing i don't like about KM construction is that curved hose port. The KM hoses have very long ends, and tend to come out a lot because of their weight.

You said you have a leak, is it in the solder of the hose port and heart?

It is were the hose port attaches to the heart.

I have that problem too! Maybe someone can help. The shaft fit loosely into the vase. It is NOT a tight fit yet you cannot fit a pen into a gap between the bowl and shaft either. It is loose enough that if you move around the hookah too much, the shaft can lean. I'll probably thicken the shaft with electric tape.

When I smoke, for the first 5 minutes, I get thick smoke (makes me think there can't be a big leak) but as the pull lowers after time, the smoke quickly thins whereas when I used another tight fitting base 2 weeks ago, the smoke retained its thickness. Maybe I'm doing something wrong now that I did right 2 weeks ago. Not sure.

When I inhale with the hose, my bowl makes loud noise (indicating lots of air is being sucked through the holes). I make many holes with a needle, a common method that hasn't given me problems before. I reduced the number of holes thinking I did too much - the noise was reduced but so was the pull (not enough holes). The base has lots of smoke for the first 10 minutes and then lowers. I don't see smoke leaking out of the base though.

How can I tell if the loose fit is a problem?

well sounds like your problem is alittle different and you may want to try different gromets and see what happens. Mine actually has and air leak where the hose port is welded into the heart. you can see the hole and hear the air coming through it.

Yeah that's a welding problem. Damn they welded that shit too thin. Ehh shit happens. Maybe when they put the hose in the port to test if it fit, they bent it and broke the solder. haha. Taht would be an easy fix though, if you had used it. But now you will have 2 useable KM shafts! (one just needs a little help.. wink.gif )

oh i see. so getting a new stem will fix that problem? the stem itself has the leak and the hole, no problem with it fitting into the base. hookah company will likely ask you for photos - you can easily show it and they'll send a new one. when they do, order anything else you want to get free shipping. you can keep your old stem and weld it yourself next time or sell it to someone for a bargain as a replacement they can patch up.

yea i attached a pic with the e-mail i sent them. I guess it just wasn't a good weld on the hose port where it connects to the base.

As for the stem fitting in the vase it fit pretty good. no real problems there yet. But who knows, I havent even got to smoke out of this yet. Edited by waterboi
