Aweitzel25
[attachment=670:Hookah.bmp]I have been going to the same Hooka bar for about 2 years. Last month on my birthday, the owner gave me a small personal one hose Hookah, with a wind screen, and metal screen, along with a tin of Al-Fakher cherry, and a roll of three kings coal. This is my first personal home hookahI would ask him this questions, but his english isnt great, and our Convos dont go much past Hi, and that flavor was great, or from time to time in broken english "That person is not 18, please ask him to leave."I have enjoyed the small Hookah thus far, but am trying to get him to let me have a bigger one.My questions are. Should i break up my coils into 2-3 peices like at the bar?Is my what feels like plastic hose washable?Aside from driving all the way to the bar, how can i insure i buy fresh shisha? How soon can i pack a fresh bowl, do i need to let bowl cool and clean before? When mixing flavors, should i stick with the same brand?I know Differnt flavors "stick" to the hose and bowl longer, from what i understand this flavors are strong flavors like, coffee, mint, vanilla. Like after you smoke them, you have to clean the hell out of it to clean the taste out.Oh and also, has anyone had input on Double or even triple bowls?Like i said, this is a noob post, feel free to take your time reposting. Thank you.Edit - pics on the way. im packing a fresh bowl.... i dont belive i uploaded the right. Edited October 29, 2007 by Aweitzel25

garykainz
Shisha usually has 2 dates on the package, 1 is the manufactured date and another is a use by date. as long as you keep your shisha at room temp in the area you'll be smoking in, it'll last a good long while.double/triple bowls are a novelty at best. i think they're a waste of money
Bushbr
when i repack a bowl, i generaly don't wait for the bowl to cool down. my friends get ticked if i wait to long to repack lol.as far as double or tripple bowls, I think they would be a good deal for pakcing both bowls, but only putting coals on one, that way you dont have to wait to repack another, and also they would be good for mixing flavors if you light both bowls at once.Hookah-shisha.com has more info on them

Foos
Double and triple headed bowls are some what notorious for being shitty. I havnt seen anyone here recommend one, only say that they didnt work. I used one once at a friends who thought it would be good for mixing flavors but the smoke never got good and there wasnt much flavor. We tried lots of heat to small amounts of heat and never got it working. Its easier and more effective to mix flavors in one bowl.

iamscott06
Yea def mix in the bowl. I take some foil and lay it out then take bits of what im mixing and throw it on there to mix. Last night i took some layalina strawberry kiwi, tangiers kashmire, and tangiers maraschino cherry threw some clumps on the foil and mixed away, loaded up my reg clay bowl sat 3 jap easy lights on there and it was good for about and hour + never even moved the coals, i did have to put a windcover on it but it was fine . even though i used barely any kashmire.. i still got a pretty powerful kashmire taste .. it was good though, very good! Dekon
QUOTE (Aweitzel25 @ Oct 29 2007, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>[attachment=670:Hookah.bmp]I have been going to the same Hooka bar for about 2 years. Thank you.Edit - pics on the way. im packing a fresh bowl.... i dont belive i uploaded the right. In a bad mood but i'll try my hardest to help.Don't bother with a bigger one. You're just bieng greedy :\Usually all you have to do is pack the bowl light the coal let it turn red all the way and put it on the foil or metal screen. Most or even all hoses from modern day hookahs should be washable, if not just buy a plastic one for like 10 bucks or if you feel like bieng "Mr. Big bucks" buy a nammor (which i doubt will fit your pumpkin). If you're mixing flavors why not be adventurous. You don't have to stick to the same brand but if you want knock yourself out .I usually let the bowl cool a bit cause i hate anything and everything over "luke warm" temperature. But you don't have to if you have like callous hands where you can barely feel heat then go ahead .Mint doesn't stick, not sure about the others (Only tried coffee once but you might want to ask Geiseric since he's smoked coffee a couple of times i think ). You also don't have to go crazy with the cleaning, just some vinegar or some lemon juice and a pipe cleaner will do wonders.I only hear bad things about the "Party" bowls as mentioned above no one likes having a burdon on their hands while trying to relax.I've tried to answer all the questions truthfully without sugar coating anything. leadpipecinch21
i know everyone has basically answered all of your questions, but i just thought i'd give you a concise post with everybodies answers, plus maybe a bit of my own insight.Should i break up my coils into 2-3 peices like at the bar?pretty much, yes. I've had lots of good smoked without the coals broken, but since i've started breaking the coals apart into 2 pieces i've gotten consistently better smokes....Is my what feels like plastic hose washable?it should be, but not necessarily. run a bit(couple drops) of water through with the hose in a u, and if the synthetic leather gets wet at the bottom of the U, then no, it's not washable. more than likely it will be washable.Aside from driving all the way to the bar, how can i insure i buy fresh shisha?if you order from one of the big websites(hookah-shisha.com, mnhookahs, etc...) that has a big turnover of shisha(they sell a lot...) you're going to get fresh shisha. At the moment i've got shisha that's 3+ years old and still smokes great. so, just because the shisha is old doesn't mean it's bad.How soon can i pack a fresh bowl, do i need to let bowl cool and clean before?you can pack a fresh bowl as soon as you can handle the bowl. i'd recommend washing the bowl out before you put in new shisha if you're changing flavors. if you're smoking the same thing, just get all the old tobacco out and load her right back up...When mixing flavors, should i stick with the same brand?nope...mix whatever your heart desiresI know Differnt flavors "stick" to the hose and bowl longer, from what i understand this flavors are strong flavors like, coffee, mint, vanilla. Like after you smoke them, you have to clean the hell out of it to clean the taste out.just run some water cut with a bit of lemon juice through the stem and the base...after a session any taste left in the hose will be cleared too, so don't worry about that.Oh and also, has anyone had input on Double or even triple bowls?general concensus is they're crap, simply a novelty.also, man...your lounge owner knows how to take care of his customers...congrats on finding a good bar with a great owner, and congrats on getting your first hookah...beware that it gets expensive though... RayVer
you can mix different flavors from different brands. I'm smoking tangiers mixed with Fusion right now and oooo it's so good
