For You Tangiers Smokers

Recommended Posts

Alright so I was thinking the other day why Eric uses such bug holes when he packs his bowl and it came to me, this is why so many people are having trouble with Tangiers. I see so many people poke pin holes and the heat from the coals is being trapped inside the bowl.. making it way to harsh. With bigger holes there is more airflow, the tobacco is cooled down instead of just roasted. Hope this helps someone

Im def gonna try it out.. whenever i smoked i use like a toothpick and just poke like 8 holes along the outside and then like 2 or 3 in the middle... sometimes when it gets harsh i pull the phunnel off and smoke just poors and poors out the top.. maybe this wont happen anymore...... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

When my bowl gets so hot that taking it off and blowing on it just makes it smolder more, I tip it upside down on my table and clamp my hand on it to suffocate it, then let it cool a bit before putting it back.

Damn, I fail at making sense today. Edited by Geiseric

yea i started doing it a couple weeks ago and I usually don't smoke straight tangiers but i ran on of layalina and eric sent me a couple kilos so i decided to mess with it and it has worked wonders.. no tingle.. i use jap coals with tangiers too though which i think is basically necessary unless you cut your quicklights into quarters..

also even with the phunnel i think you need to poke holes all over with a fork.. not jus a circle around the outside.

that is weird, since larger holes don't give you as much smoke. hmmm... i am going to try tangiers tonight, but with the usual Cup (or whatever it's called), since i don't have a phunnel yet.
Yeah, Pictures would help a lot =] Edited by GolovA

you can pack the bowl higher with tangiers compared to most other tobacco too.. it really doesnt burn as long as you put the big holes in too

I guess i'll just have to try it and addapt to my style of smoking - which is through 3 vases connected in a series and 2 pipes connected in parralel! laugh.gif

Hey, that sounds good, burning is an issue I often have... Hurry up Friday. Oh wait, never mind. Don't. I have 30 hours of work scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

But what is that game-card?
Oh... about the topic - Tangiers shisha is weird... a-a-ammm... yeah... laugh.gif

u need to learn to not double psot my friend. your numbers look impressive, untill people realize you have 6 consecutive replies in a single thread, most of them having nothing to do with the thread.

I'm not bitching, just something you might wanna think about. I'm sure I'm not the only one getting a little tired of you having conversations with yourself on a thread about shisha

Back on topic: I usually use 40mm Golden Coals. Would that be advisable with Tangiers? Edited by Geiseric

Im gonna suggest either cutting those in half or quarters... when i used 33mm quick lights i took 3 Halves and it seemed to work just fine.. not sure about the 40mm ... you can always add more/take some off biggrin.gif
