gozzo
Hey people I stumbled on your forum while surfing for some info on how to prepare a hookah. Been smoking hookah quite a lot in “hookah bars” and restaurants etc, but never prepared my own…so I have a couple of questions! Got this “soex herbal hukka” when I bought the pipe. I come home and see its tobacco and nicotine free …why would you want to smoke if it’s free from tobacco and nicotine? Anyhow, is this soex any good? Also if I’d want to smoke with the tobacco and nicotine, what sort of tobacco should I use? Does any tobacco do or should I get some sort of “special” brand or something? And how would you recommend me preparing it (some say it should me moisted??). Anyhow sorry for being the annoying new guy with lots of questions, but would appreciate some advice! Thanks
shisha fan
unfortunately soex is not a good brand, avoid it like plague. i can recommend you nakhla, it`s very easy to get it to smoke the right waywith just about any bowl. you could also ask what brand they use in the hookah bar that you go to. in this thread it is explained how you can pack different bowls; http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?showtopic=10119i hope this helps you a bit in the right direction. Zildjian
also keep in mind some hookah users care more about the taste and prefer a milder buzz as compared to a mack track hitting you head on. SO I prefer washed tobacco, with less nicotine.
gozzo
Thanks guys, I've seen the "nakhla" brand in the store, so I'll give it a try. That thread you linked was gold btw...probably should have done a search before asking lol oh and should the tobacco be washed/ moisted? It looks wet on the pics... ThanksIm for sure Taste over Buzz, a buzz sucks in my opinion. That's why i almost exclusively buy Starbuzz and Hookah Freak Blueberry Pancakes. Geiseric
I prefer a mad buzz, but I also desire strong flavor. I usually smoke two hookahs at the same time (when I can, depends on the funds I have in my possession at the time), one for taste and one for buzz. I find caffeinated shisha provides the most jarring experience, but I wouldn't go so far as to say whether or not it is pleasant. Just.... unique. I get my first bit of Tangiers F-line Red Tea tomorrow, hopefully it will be a mad buzz with great flavor. I have heard good things. As to set-up, advice helps, I got a lot last year when I was really getting into hookah. But eventually you set into your own favorite pack and bowl etc. (or at least I've found it to be so) but then it's fun to go and try other people's ways of doing things to. So experiment a lot! ZenSilk
Dude, from your first sentence, i only have to say one word. Tangiers. It has the best flavor of any tobacco available on the market, the most realistic as well, and it's one of the cheapest. If you like strong flavor and a killer buzz, theres only one thing you need to turn to.
shisha fan
i can tell you that tangiers kashmir peach has a strong flavor to it which i liked, but i didn`t get a buzz (i also smoke cigarettes and cigars).maybe it will give you a buzz if you don`t smoke ciggies. but the most important part is that it has a strong flavor and smell. when it was in the bag the smell reminded me of cola candy
