Any Tips?

well i bought this 12 inch hookah, cost me like $17. its handmade and egyptian and i think it was made as more of an ornament than as a pipe . when i put my bowl on, its not stable. its like its just sitting on the top. any tips? oh, heres a tip for you too, dont buy a $17 hookah from a tourist gift shop (next hookah im gonna buy, later on next year and maybe when my parents get used to me smoking shisha will be from a hookah bar, $60 and about 32 inches) Edited November 2, 2007 by mathuv

You should upload pics, so we can see better what the issues are.

With vases that don't fit perfectly I usually put a few layers of electrical tape under the grommet. Because of the bowl's heat though, that probably wouldn't be advisable. You could add some epoxy and shape it to the bowl better, but that depends on the shape the stem. Post pics! Edited November 2, 2007 by Geiseric

And yeah, a 12" egyptian? Damn...i think anything below 22" is a bit too small.

yes but...it insists on sliding upwards :S like wen i push it down, it just slides back up

think so cos wen i tried putting on the crappy bowl it came with, the bowl broke omg haunted shisha so cool

yeah, my friend bought a 6 inch tall hookah in Dahab, don't bother trying to smoke the super small ones. they are ornamental. And where did you buy yours?

from a tourist gift shop. but they also sell larger shishas and shisha and coal so i was assuming the hookahs were at least USABLE... ah well, not a total waste, its ok. smoke is gd.

just try wrapping a piece of paper towel around the bowl grommet. you can wrap it enough times to make it as thick as needed. that usually works for me.

just try wrapping a piece of paper towel around the bowl grommet. you can wrap it enough times to make it as thick as needed. that usually works for me.

well im gonna try go exchange it and ill take my bowl with me to make sure it works. if he wont exchange it ill just use the paper towel.
