well, it was guvernment's annual halloween party.
there was a costume contest with $5000 cash prize for 1st place, $2000 for second place and $1000 for third place. there were plenty of amazing costumes. i couldnt believe the level of creativity that some people have. first place went to the guy in the massive robot costume with "warning" on the chest and LED lights all over (including a strobe light on his head). he had old modems, video cards and sound cards attached to the suit and two lead acid batteries in the feet to power the lighting. the batteries also worked to make him taller since the costume was close to 8feet tall. it took him four years to finish.

im not saying that i can out-drink you but i can hold my own (especially for an asian). ive seen many asians that would practically be out of commission after 5 drinks or so. the effects of alcohol hits me really quick but it passes through me quick as well. there are some nights where i would have a few beers and drink half a bottle of grey goose. its pretty impressive for a 5'5 chinese guy. lol

I would love to take pics at places like that. Does it ever get boring or do you always enjoy going and doing it?

i did club photography for about 5 years without pay because i loved it and was trying to build a name for myself in toronto's nightclub scene.
my first offer for a paid job was $35 per venue and i declined.
then the management of the clubs that i work at (they own a bunch of places including Beatles Revolution in las vegas... www.ink-00.com) approached me and asked me to work for them and made me an offer that was pretty hard to refuse. i think it had a lot to do with the fact that i was friends with almost all their resident djs as well. recently i got picked up by clubplanet.com (an american site.. not sure if you're familiar with it) for their toronto chapter.
if you ever make it to toronto remember to bring your camera.smile.gif
