.cOLt.45.
Well I use my neighbors unsecured wireless internet. For some reason all of a sudden im getting no signal. Like, I'm connected but it says im getting no signal. It's also saying that im getting 1 mbps. Pages are loading kinda slowly and limewire is just crawling. The way the houses are designed they are connected...Such as^=======^ -----|-----the ^= is the roofand the ----'s are the garagesand the | is the divider. So basically they are connected right next to each other. So no matter where they move the router i should get good signal...Anyone know why it would be sucking so bad?
Scheetz
Probably because they are blocking you out.
MechAnt
Its cause you're too cheap to pay for your own internet.

Dekon
Try moving your wireless adapter around. If you can't move it left or right, try moving it farther up. I did this with my nieghbors router when we didn't have internet for 5 months.
Bulldog_916
My guess is that they moved their router and or computer. Just moving it slightly can have a big effect, especially if the studs in their home have any sort of metal shielding or bracing. Your home and or how many walls stand between you and the router can also make or break your connection. If you want good signal, you might want to play with the numbers in the adapter software. They may have adjusted the gain on their router or the channel.
oolatec
How about $50... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16833124010As for the slow (stolen) connection... it could be any number of things... maybe they moved their router, or they themselves are using their own connection for something that's sending/receiving lots of data. Honestly, I wouldn't complain if I were you. lol Edited November 5, 2007 by oolatec

Scheetz
I would assume they moved the router to the farthest point in the house then. Or they buried that thing in a metal desk.
