kitefanatic
Just for grins and giggles, I thought that I'd take apart my old cobra hose that I don't use and see how it's constructed. I was quite surprised to find out that the hose is actually nothing more than a long tube of plastic wrap! Take a look at the pic and see for yourself. I was hoping to replace the "hose" with some Home Depot tubing (i.e. salvage the ends), but upon closer inspection, I don't think it'd be worth it.If the mods think that this would be better suited to the reviews section, please feel free to move it. aethiolas
Why wouldn't the ends still be worth it? Sure the hose isn't great but as long as your ends as still in great condition a home depot hose with a cool handle wouldn't be too shabby I would think. kitefanatic
Well, the wood that the ends are made of is questionable. It's seems very rough, weak, and porous. It makes me want to epoxy some metal tubing inside them. I'm sure they'd work fine without all the extra fuss... but I'm anal, lol!Besides, I plan on ordering a couple of Nammor hoses next paycheck. So I figure, why bother.
Sonthert
Take your head and stem piece you cut off and go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some food-safe tubing. Cheaper and just as good.

Just as good as a nammor in my opinion.
