more info would help a lot. first disconnect your hose and try to pull air through it, if it doesn't work then theres your problem all you will have to do is go buy another hose. if you get air through the hose then it could be something else. how old is your hookah and how often do you clean it?

thanks for your replies!! it's not the hose itself, because when disconnected air can pass through the hose. but once they're connected to the valves it won't allow anything to pass through. i've had it for about 4 months and have cleaned it a few times. do you think it could be a problem with the ball-bearings??

Ball bearings are notorious for sticking. At least they're a quick easy fix, if that's the problem. I just unscrew the valve and rotate the bearing in the little socket. Make sure that when you clean your hookah, you disassemble this area and let it dry completely. A little rust can freeze those babies right up.
