shisha fan
looks fine, but you can probably even get a cheaper one. i read that someone on this forum got one for $10 at walmart.
chinamon
that same hotplate is $18.88 at walmart.

kitefanatic
Yeah, based on the 2 reviews posted on that link, it seems to me that the coil element would heat up faster.
spoolinspoon
I think the best ones are the coil types.
MechAnt
My friend's range looks like that and it take quite a while to get started. Once it gets started, the coals are instantly red but it take a bit of time to get up to that point. The coil ones work great
smarthobo
Why not just get a mini propane camping stove?

camelflage
ive got that exact hotplate, and yeah it takes a while to heat up but once it gets there it does the trick. wish mine was a coil type cause the coals roll off the plate type too easy. ZenSilk
SO the best place to find a hotpate with the coils would be at walmart?
oolatec
You could go even cheaper and just get a cooling rack, and place it over the burners, and placing the coals on the rack. Works great for me.http://www.amazon.com/Bakers-Secret-16-Inc...9632&sr=8-1I just use the handvac to clean up afterwards. Just make sure the ash left on the stove is cooled. heh
garykainz
i got a coil element hot plate at walmart for $10, works perfectly.
hookah hippie
I would avoid that one and get one with coils from sears for about $
chrisrbts
I actually have that same hotplate except mine is the silver model instead of black, it takes about 5-10 minutes to light a coal depending on how cold it is outside, lately its been in the 30s and below so its been taking a little longer
