Overheated Phunnel Can Add To Tangier's Burn.

Recommended Posts

So i've noticed what after about 2-3 hours smoking a bowl of tangiers in a phunnel, the bowl heats up so much that it's almost impossible to add any coal without it starting itget harsh. I've had to start pulling the coals for people and letting the hookah sit for 5 minutes or so. Anyoen else had this happen?

I've smoked Tangiers for HOURS, I'm talking from like 2 in the morning till 8 in the morning. 6 hours straight, no lie! Anyway I think I know what you mean Mush, I've had shisha get hot after a while.
Edit: Oh yeah, that was off of one bowl! Edited by The Messiah

Mush you are absolutely right. In order for smoke to be produced using Non-Tangiers, the bowl needs to become very hot in order to cook the juices at the bottom, ALL the juices, hence the amazing smoke from a phunnel. And we all know that Tangiers is Under/Over heat sensitive, causing harsh smoke at both ends of the spectrum, but at the perfect temperature just enough Nicotine is cooked and added into the smoke so there is no tingle. And those Tangiers bowls get very hot, and the juice and tobacco at the bottom start to over-cook and burn and it gets unbearably harsh.
