neophytex
Tonight, while enjoying some Nahkla Cappucino, a tragedy befell my hookah. I posted a few days earlier a little preturbed that my new Mya had stress fractures running down from the stem through the base, and tonight the Mya gave way midway through the session.I've attached some pictures of the sad sight. I'm pretty sure MNHookah will help me out though, Tarik's always been among the best as far as customer service goes, so here's hoping for the best. Oggie505
Its about a year ago when mya switched where their glass was made. From what everyone says it is now much thinner than they were before. Glad I got my QT 2 yrs ago..lol...
ZenSilk
There are all these posts....yet people do not hesitate to buy Myas time after time..Maybe we need to STOP buying them until their glass gets better. Cause this a really shitty much too common problem. No ones gonna fix it if people keep buying the crappy product, there's no reason to change. You people have no idea how angry I am right now... there are a few left. you basically just have to know which ones you can trust putting your money into and which ones it is not worth taking a chance. I still have an old mya glass that I bought basically 3 years ago and its my everyday smoker
Zildjian
every company has its good produccts and bad ones. the vortex has notoriously poor glass. the gyro has glass that can stop bullets. i love my mya and it saddens me to see it get knocked so often because of the same series of hookah having the same problem. you never see O MAN MY ABYSS BLEW UP or MY COLOSSUS SHRUNK! sorry allia, but i think its unreasonable to hate myas based off of one series having problems (and their non-washable washable hoses, that i understand). btw tangiers kiwi tasted like death

I was going to smooke it today, the smell was sweet but still smelled like tobacco, unlike orange soda. Anyways, sorry for the broken base, i'm waiting for my QT to do that so i can buy an egyptian or something..Edit : Yay 300 posts! . leadpipecinch21
that sucks dude...really. hope you can get it taken care of, but just a word of advice...next time if you see stress fractures or anything that really, really shouldn't be there, call up the company that sold it to you before using it... neophytex
I was in touch with Mya and MNHookah as soon as I first got it and saw the fractures, so hopefully they'll do something about it. Still does kind of suck though, I was just basing most my purchase off a lot of the reviews on H-S that were generally very positive on the Vortex's durability. MechAnt
Sorry to see that man.The only MYA glass that is good these days is their non frosted ones. The frosted looking ones are terrible. Their old Bohemian frosted ones were great but now.....
Hookah_Bob3
Yeah, I have a qt and a "Frost" (from southsmoke) and the glass has held up for quite some time on the both of them, although it is my second base for my QT (first one cracked when I was washing it, but it was replaced for free -- has been good ever since)

HAHAHASorry but while we're on the topic of tangiers kiwi. It tasted "okay". Took it off after 20 minutes of smoking it. I couldn't get the heat right on this one for some odd reason so i might be willing to trade this for some coconut or another flavor..

Loki
I'm expecting my QT soon. Should I worry about that one?How does it handle ice/cold water or hot water? Could it break?
PirateNinja415
I've had a Qt for a few nomths now, and i haven't had any problems with the base. I'm using that base protector that came with my order from Hookah-Shisha.com just to be on the safe side.
