cool points on the matisyahu, and very good video.. there is only so much you can explain in writing..

now if only everyone would put a lot of big holes than there would be so many less problems with tangiers.

damn, when you put the coals on was that the first hit you took off of it? or was that clip from when the bowl was going.. i must really not be smoking tangiers right if it smokes like that right away

the first hit in the video was literally the first hit...you could actually see after that point where I say something like "I'll stand here and puff away" and then it cuts into a shot like 3 minutes later.

Great video.. couldnt watch it with sound since im at work but when i get home i'll check it ou fully. Im gonna have to try that hole placement tonight to...

And yes you can get nice fluffly clouds on the first hit.. i dont get it that quick.. i usually let the coals sit on the bowl for like a minute or two before i puff.

im glad my video is helping out a lot of people... The 6 hours spend making it seems to have been well worth it.... i'm looking forward to getting my new camcorder soon to make you guys more videos next month.

I think the reason it smoked on the first puff is because the technique I use of covering the coals on the stove with a foil screen which gets the coals red hot.

Hey, I just bought some tangiers. I had it acclimating for 4.5 hours and decided to try it then. The smell of the shisha was very strong, as I could smell it from another room as I was acclimating it. It smoked pretty well the first day with a lot of flavor. I let it sit out for about 20 hours and it also smoked well then. I then put it into a tupperware container, and have not had it smoke well since. The smell is not nearly as strong, do I need to re-acclimate the shisha to get the smell back? I have heard that when it smells strong, it will smoke awesome.

My setup is a medium phunnel bowl, with 1/4 exotica coal on top, I had tried using double the coal (1/2 stick total) but the shisha gave off a harsh, burnt taste. I live in Florida so I guess there can be pretty drastic humidity changes. Should I acclimate the shisha again for a large number of hours, or just acclimate for about an hour before I smoke?

it may need more acclimation when you're storing it in the ziplock. i actually have to acclimate my Tangiers Cocoa every time i open the ziploc container...usually about an hour does the trick. just acclimate it again and see if it helps. it's not really going to hurt anything anyways.

vid link worked for me, but this post is OLD! We've a necromancer on these forums, raising our dead threads to fight back against us! How can we ever win? New posts and spam?
