Screw People.

I had a party last night, not too big, max like 25 people. This morning, 2 ipods gone. They were upstairs, in bedrooms. Mildly fucking irritating.

edit: not to mention I kept the hookah from being knocked over for like 4 hours, and these assholes burned a bigass hole in the carpet as soon as I was gone. Also didn't notice that till the morning. Edited by poopooshaboo

That sucks man, I hate it when people don't respect people's places and things. I would be pissed to. Hope you can at least find out who took the Ipods

thats pretty fucked up you were nice enough to allow these people to come into your house... and thats how they return the favor... damn id be pissed....

Uggh, you can't have a party with douchebags dude. If they look sketchy, either kill them and put them in your basement and save everyone the trouble, or kick them out. My friend got her Ipod, about 500 bucks, and her blackberry pearl stolen at her party last night. The dumbasses were stupid enough to use the phone without removing the simcard, so they are going to be arrested.

Yep, people pretty much suck, and the earlier you learn that in life the easier the rest gets huh.gif . Once upon a time I think people had some respect for property, especially as a guest... but those times are SO long gone.

Gotta frisk the jackass going in, and out... and that really takes the fun out of anything.

that really sucks dude. sorry to hear this.

the last time i had hosted a party was 3 years ago? i had a bbq with about 20 of my closest friends. it was one hell of an expensive party since i supplied all the food (black angus ribeye steaks, wings, ribs, burgers, garden and caesar salad, potato salad), beer (corona and marca bavaria) and liquor (mainly vodka but some dominican rum as well). started around 2pm when my friend brought over all his dj gear and set up in my backyard. he played until 11pm when the city bylaw says all loud noises must end and we moved the party inside. nobody was allowed upstairs or in the basement. most people hung out in the kitchen and family room. two girls passed out in the living room while one passed out in the washroom. lol. the best was waking up in the morning to the girls cooking us all breakfast. they even went to the grocery store to buy bacon and eggs.

i was VERY careful when selecting the invited people. everyone i was close with in elementary school and high school. i told them all they werent allowed to bring guests and everyone respected that. the only problem i had was people getting too drunk to remember that my home is non-smoking. i kicked a few people outside for that.

i guess i was lucky. i hear about people having their property stolen or damaged due to house parties. it sucks when you think you can trust a person only to realize that jealousy and greed overpowers all.

shit thats no good. When i throw parties here i close off the upstairs, lock all of my smaller valuable things in the gun safe. Most of the people i invite are close friends or co-workers, but i do allow them to bring a friend if they clear it with me ahead of time. All of the people that come to my house respect my belongings, but i think thats pretty rare in this day and age. However theres not alot of small stuff that they could steal from my downstairs. But if they manage to take the TV then they can have it, thats one hell of an accomplishment wink.gif .

My buddy had a party in his dorm room. Someone walked out with his 360, controllers and a few games when he went to the bathroom. Apparently 10 other people didn't see who did it. rolleyes.gif Sweet 1g down the drain right there.

So, my wisdom has taught me. Put a lock on your door, I mean a real lock. Bolt a swing arm and catch to the outside then put a key lock on it so the door is incapable of opening.

I went to a house party a few weeks ago and the host basically locked everyone out of his house so it took place in his backyard. I guess thats the best way to go when dealing with stupid drunk people.

Yeah, I wish I could do that. The thirty degree weather and small amounts of underage drinking ohmy.gif discourage that.

ive been to a few small partys, nothing stolen. but it was all friends. sucks how people are like that, i couldnt imagine doing that to someone or someone who i feel i can trust doing that to me. my girlfriends roomate knocked over the hookah, the coal fell on my girlfriend (who was on the computer at the time, not smoking) burned her arm, burned through her leather couch, burned through the carpet, burned 2 holes in her rug(dont ask me how that happened). my girls friend didnt even apologise because she didnt feel it was her fault.

I was at a house party the weekend after hallowe'en. My friend brought all her DJ gear and, though she normally gets paid huge rates for performing, entertained us all night for nothing since most of us are friends. however, some people invited others not known to the group and next thing you know the DJs $500 coat was gone, the host was missing some religious statues, and the basement was partly trashed.

my 2 cents: i have lots of parties at my place, with gratuitious drinking and whatnot, and have never had a problem with things walking off or people trashing it up. couple times ive had to play hookah catch-boy but what can you expect when you mix drunk newbs and tall pipes. maybe im just a scary motherfucker and noone wants to get caught stealing, but i mainly think its cause the company i keep just knows better. even when its open invitation, people know not to bring jackasses cause i dont tolerate them.

there was one party i went to in windsor, ontario during the summer.
me and my friends drove there for the night because two of my friends were booked to dj at the boom boom room. during the party we got invited back to someone's house party whom we didnt even know. a couple (guy and his gf) that we met that night drove us there because they were heading there too. when we got there the house must've had about 20 people in the kitchen/dining area, about 15 people in the basement (weight/exercise room) where the dj equipment was set up and another 20-25 people in the backyard. we were told that the married couple that owned the house always has an open door policy for people to go to their house for the afterparty and does this quite often. we got the red carpet treatment from the moment we walked in the door. people started cheering and saying "now the party is officially complete!" and pouring us drinks and everything. it was one of the most memorable roadtrips that ive had with those djs. surprisingly, nothing ever gets stolen or broken even though they have so many random people there.

At pretty much every party i've ever been to that was over about 20 people, something has gone down be it a fight, or something broken or stolen.

I take that back we had over 200 people at my friends house but it was all outside and gated and it went down with only the cops being called for noise, but the party continued Edited by btuner
