Whenever I smoke I pass the hose around the most during the first five to ten minutes so it gets going faster. Ive never had more pleasurable smoke at the beginning of a session lol. Edited November 14, 2007 by Foos

I think the first 5-10 mins are the crappiest times during my session. It's like running a new engine in. Everything is settling down and getting good during that initial burst.

The most pleasurable are around 15-30 minutes when it's full of smoke and the flavor truly comes out. The first five minutes are like work when trying to start it up. These people don't really know what they're talking about.

Comeon whats that for a product. Who needs a freezing base when you have icecubes in your freezer....and this base will not work in every freezer..here you need a large freezer i just have 4 little freezers

With water and icecubes the water will still stay cool for 30-50 minutes and if you have the time to wait when the base is freezing you also will have the time to make enough icecubes so you dont need this base...

just a toy which you will use 2-3 times at the party to be the only one but i dont think you will freeze the base each time

I guess to sorta test the concept would be to take your base and put it in a pail, pack ice around it and to really chill it put rock salt on the ice. Kinda like making icecream

For everyone whos ripping on the way there using the "first 15 minutes thing" must not see very many product advertisments, I dont think there trying to fool anyone, there just trying to figure out a way to advertise it. Fact is, anyone who puts ice in there base would probably like this. I stopped doing that because as soon as I moved into a place with a new freezer and no auto ice maker it became a pain. And the ice usually is melted within the first 15-20 minutes (which is what i think these fools probably should have said instead of "hookah is most pleasurable" in that time.) In that time the ice makes it slightly better, and this just substitutes that in a more convienient, and most likely longer lasting way.

As a company that really wants to promote their product, you'd do it professionally, plus this is a moderately more intelligent community than most. Listing specifications like different base sizes, colors, freezing time, and more pictures would be much better.

I live about 20-30 minutes away from Fullerton, Ca. How much is this product and can I get a discount? (My friend needs a new base anyways but I always forget to look at the diameter of his stem grommet thingy).

Mushrat: I propose that I drive down to fullerton, ca and buy one with your money and test it out myself then send it over to you with your money. win win right?

I don't notice how the first 15 minutes are better than the rest. I notice cool smoke on hot days that just turn slightly warm about 1 hour in.

Imo, bad product presentation and poorly executed idea.

How much do these go for in retail?
I also want to try it out. Instead of making new ice all the time, I could just pop this in the freezer after I finish washing it, and have the base ready to go (just pour water) for next time.

I just ordered some of these from the vegas show as well.. cool concept, he let me puff off one that was room temp and one that was cold at the show, and wow, pretty big difference. I'm excited to get them in.

It is a very cool idea but I am perfectly content in putting ice in my base. I think it would work just the same. It’s probably more geared toward the lazy people who don’t ever feel like putting ice in the base and would rather just grab it out of the freezer and get ready to smoke.

well, a big thing for me is...being a college student, I mostly buy lunch meats, bread, and frozen goods. So, my freezer doesn't have room for a base since it is packed full with shit lol

Just to reply where u can get it, its available in tobacco stores in Ca, i got mine from one in anaheim. they have a full hooka and like the name they called the full hooka sheecool

i live in cali and the tiny little tobacco shop by me happens to be the guy who came up with this.

They are dual chambered, like the plastic insulated cups. Inside is the chamber for your water then in the insulated layer there is either water, or now hes moving to a gel like substance, that freezes.

granted they are just for use and not decor as they are ugly plastic with a iradescent reflective rings over the center of the bases, they work well and stay cold up to 4 hours.

They come in black, green, pink and a few other colors

I would love to have an egyptian but no room, also i have the smaller one. Which is about 2ft tall and the bottom chamber easily stores in the freezer awaiting my next use.

DAMN cant wait to get home and smoke now.
