first we bitch no one uses the search, then we bitch because someone brought up an old thread instead of making a new one. How about if you don't like old threads you stay out of them hey?

Whoa whoa, who says anyone is bitching? I was just fucking around with the zombie-thread ongoing joke. Maybe you didn't catch it, but as far as i'm aware it's a common joke associated with 'dead' threads.

For someone to bitch about an old thread it would be counter productive to actually comment in it.

Mostly because I'm paying way too much for professors to drill information into them to give them away to zombies for free

actually not a bad point, if you were really wanting to use the 'feature' you could just get the right grommet (assuming the base is tall enough)

But Overall I prefer my ice. Here in NC the "stay cold" glasses that are supposed to do the same thing as this base never work.

Here's another idea if you guys want this without buying this hookah:

Get a small bag (like zip lock or such) and mix 2 parts water with 1 part rubbing alcohol, even double bag it if you want, throw it in the freezer for 24 hours.

Then either use it as is, or even try one of those bag resealers to make sure it's solidly closed. It'll be a super cold slush that will be colder than any ice.

Not saying iv'e tried this, but just combining a few ideas to see if it'll help a hamster wannabe.

I'm not bitching, I am really glad he decided to dig up an old thread rather than starting a new one. Thanks for using the search engine beachkidcb! smile.gif

And here I just discovered how much better warm water is for hookah smokin biggrin.gif

Chromecarz00 did an experiment with different temps of water, found that warm water did provide better taste. Water temp doesn't really matter to me that much. If I had the preference, I would use room-temp or warm water though. Cold water does take away from the taste from what I can tell. Edited by delSol_si

I find this product a little more interesting....
http://www.sheecool.com/products_desc.php?id=85
not sure how it works but it just looks unhealthy

That actually looks pretty cool. I am curious as to how it works and such.

From what it looks like to me, the canister holds a flammable gas that burns in the black insulated tube. Then the hot air / nasty gas vapors go straight into the top of the bowl. I can assume its less healthy than quicklights, but could be useful for camping.

Yeah that's my thought. It looks like you are breathing in the gas of choice... butane most likely.... pass.

warm water is technically better because it helps with the removal of chemicals from the smoke....

the sheecool burner thing looks cool. and it says indirect heat, which would mean that you wouldnt be breathing in whatever is coming from that tube...
