I'm getting it, although the scores have been all over the place. Game informer gave it like a 9 and IGN gave it a 7.7. Either way I'm not letting score get in my way, I've been following this game for like a year and a half and I'm gonna nut myself tomorrow when I get it.

I'm torn, some of the complaints seem to be pretty fair. I'll definitely wait for its price to drop before I buy. Fuck, 360 games are pricey. Almost makes me want to mod it like I did my old xbox, but I wouldn't want my 360 to RRoD and have to return it with the DVD firmware modded, and I definitely can't afford two 360s.

I got it, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. People were complaining about the story, when I don't have a problem with it as of yet. It just so happens that everyone was expecting something else in the way of the story, but that's not the way ubisoft took it. It is kinda repetitive i.e. Climb that tower to view your surroundings, pound the crap out of this guy for info, although I'm doing EVERY information sequence for achievements sake, and if you didn't do that, it'd go alot quicker. I've only done the three main assassinations, with about 5 hours of games time, but once again I'm doing EVERY information thing (there are 7) but you only require 2 to move on. The game is fluid, there are instances where it's kind of choppy, but this usually happens when you've been playing for awhile and the game is trying to load up the population of a city. All in All I give it like an 8.5 on my personal scale.

I was planning on getting this game for a while now. I has been one of the titles that I have been looking forward to for a few months. After its release I held off because of less than optimal scores. From what my friends are saying, the gameplay is really unique and pretty cool. The only problem is that after the first hour and a half, the game gets really repetitive.

I'm personaly gonna give it a rent, and wit until the sequel is made for a purchase.

it only gets repetitive(in my opinion) if you play life I do, which is unlocking everything. And Husky, sorry to hear of the tragedy that has befallen you....I shall pray for you and yours ;P

my buddy has it for ps3 and he played it for two hours and was thoroughly disappointed.
i cant comment as i havent played it myself.
seems like a cool game. i really like games that are sandbox/freeform style, and it appears that this game is to a point, but perhaps not enough for my tastes

its an awesome game, had alot of fun playing it and will be replaying (to get the other friggin achievements) later on.

the guys from PA figured it out the hard way why the reviews have been mixed. They are on a deadline and have to finish it as fast as possible. Playing this game hard and fast sucks, the true fun is taking your time and just enjoying it. This is the only game i have ever played where playing fast just makes things tedious and boring, but taking your time makes the repetitive nature of the game more fun. Even though each thing is more or less the same, taking your time means you approach each differently, you get to really act like an assassin and enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played.

This is a good game, I just beat it yesterday. While some of the negative points are valid, such as some of the repititve type things you have to do, it is trulely an awesome game. The enviroments are huge and open ended, allowing you to explore anywhere, and the character models are fantastic. I would recomend it.

Assassin's Creed rocks out. I've been sort of following its development for some time now... it looks awesome. problem is I only game on my pc and Assassin's Creed doesn't come out on pc until probably february next year!

I have a mate from work who's getting it this morning and would probably be playing it right now...lucky guy. I'll probably go round to his place with some shisha sometime and we'll have a great time! Looking forward to this game on pc though.

I have a ps3 and I enjoy it. It isn't for everyone and I understand that but for what I play its good. The way I look at it most of the great games out there are multi-platform, and the online is free which is a pluss. Some may say its not as good as Xbox's but I think it works fine. Additionaly the exclusives it does have are pretty fun (Drakes fortune, Heavenly sword, Resistance). Xbox does have Mass Effect though, thats a cool game.

lol how did this turn into a ps3 360 debate? To add fuel to the fire; its kinda hard to compare those exclusives to the powerhouse games the 360 has. Just listing 3 alone: Halo 3, Gears Of War, Mass Effect. Lets not forget games like Bioshock, Crackdown, etc.

I hate to dog PS3 but its hard to deny that the best games have hit the 360, not the PS3. And i gladly drop my $50 a year for my live. Hmm this makes me think we need another argument topic biggrin.gif
