Weird Bowl On Turkish Hookah

i have this turkish hookah with an inverted bowl connection, but the bowl is too small and i`m looking to replace it.

i know tangiers doesn`t make bowls for this type of connection, but can anyone recommend another larger bowl that will fit?

That looks like an inverted bowl, not sure if you can get a grommet and then get a Tangiers funnel bowl.

it does, but it also makes it impossible to smoke for any longer than 45 min.

Yeah that's a traditional syrian bowl (it's a male bowl). Hookahook.com has loads of them of different sizes. i've been having trouble getting onto their site recently though.

could be, i got it from someone who bought it in turkey. i had never heard of a turkish hookah style either.

the quality is far superior to that of most egyptians, the stem is very heavy and the glass is very thick.

Ya, as said that what's called a Syrian Head. you can get the standard mya bowl like this one:

In the syrian configuration if you ask them for it specifically. I have a box of those types of bowls laying around.

You can also buy a connector that will convert the syrian/turkish bowl port to a traditional egyptian. That way you could make full use of your hookah and all the bowls that are egyptian style only

i can make something like that myself, but i am gonna go for the syrian bowl from myasaray.

Actually, as far as we can find, you can't find those adaptors anymore. Tangiers was supplying them to hookah company at one point but hasn't had any made up in a while. If you know of a place that still carries the syrian to egyptian converters please let me know.

Yea, it's likely it's syrian in origin. My first hookah had a made in syria sticker on it and uses that type of bowl.

Ah, those only work if you are talking a Mya hookah. They screw into the top of the shaft. I don't think the OP has a mya so they won't work.
