Help With Social Smoke

Well i called them before you posted Mushrat, and they said they won't be shipping out my package until today and I won't receive it until next wednesday.

I asked if they are going to do anything to compensate such a long delay for the shipment to be sent out and they said there is nothing they can do.

So as of right now i am pretty annoyed that they are not working harder to keep customers. They better hope that this hookah lives up to the hype because I am really getting annoyed with online hookah companies not making it an effort to ship orders in a timely manner or respond to customer complaints, when other online companies can get shipments out almost immediately (i.e. Newegg and Amazon.com).

just my 2cents

Pretty bummed out right now because I ordered it on that day to ensure that i would be here by Friday.

Just be patient, Chris. Your order will get to you. Social Smoke is a great company. It's unfortunate you got caught in the middle of their relocation however.

What did you order btw?

In response to that, i doubt it. I had the purge valve weld crack on one of their egyptian stems, they said that i would have to pay for it to be shipped to them and if they deem it a factory defect they would try to repair it, so maybe in like 2 weeks i would get the stem back that would just be a repaired one. I ended up just buying another one and some extra shisha and told them that I would do this instead, as it would benefit the both of us, and no they did not "compensate" me.

I was NOT asking for monetary compensation, I was wondering if they were gonna do anything to rush the shipping because I felt that two weeks is a long time for something to arrive, when it should have only taken a week tops. Plus if a company makes a statement that they hookah will be shipped out on a certain date, don't you think that the customer has a right to be dissappointed if that company does not uphold their statement?

Or am i being too asinine to expect more from a company that is so highly raved about on this forum? Yes they produce great products, but from my point of view their has been little to no customer service. It would have been a lot different if they easily sent out an e-mail to all the people who purchased from them while they were in the process of moving to expect some delays, versus having to send multiple e-mails and call them to find out the status of my hookah. The polite man has much more reason to benefit than the demanding child!

Trust me, it pays to remember to not demand things. However, the customer is also (mostly) right. I've been on both situations where retailers have screwed me over and made right... and where they thought my business wasn't worth it.

It is quite understandable that you are upset over this. I know I'd be VERY upset. When I ordered my laptop from Dell, it took over a month to get to me because of the "dell-ay"/shortages of parts. All I can say is, SS is a FANTASTIC company and you have to be patient. I mean, how quickly could you relocate a company that big? iirc, SS is the largest wholesaler/retailer of hookah stuff in North America.
