Change In Tobacco Flavor With Climate Change?

Recommended Posts

Kind of a random thought, we had a strong cold front come through overnight, and it went from 60's to mid 30's overnight. Lit up a bowl of Tangiers this afternoon and the smoke seems a lot (smoother?) and the flavor really comes through a lot more. Seems to be a much more enjoyable smoke with all the humidity gone and a colder ambient temp. Anyone else ever noticed something like this?

when i'd go camping i'd leave my shisha wrapped in tin foil out side over night and the next day the flavor would be rediculious!

i found this out by accident one time... and ever since i've been leaving it out...

Didn't acclimate the tangiers again before smoking it, was still acclimated in a jar from the warmer weather when I first got it and acclimated it. The nahkla was sitting out though so I suppose that the taste difference would be attributed to that.

Don't know about shisha, but I noticed that the climate really changes the taste of cigs. The same pack tasted different when taken from Europe to Canada...
