waterboi
i use two rings of holes in the foil. One along the outer edge and one closer to the center with a few holes in between the two rings. If you are using the bowl without a mod you may want one or two holes in the center over the hole of the phunnel. As for coals, what kind are you using? avtomat
ahh well, I have generic coals ( like 3 kings 33mm i think ) that come with a hookah (happened to come with my Mya QT) and I have Japanese EasyLights or w/e ( black box ). ATM tho, I have the Quick lights (ones like 3 kings) at my house .
PirateNinja415
for my medium phunnel bowl i just use 2 33mm golden quicklights, and that usually gives me good smoke. I just got my phunnel though, so i'm still trying to figure out what works best. I tried breaking the coals in half and putting 3 halves around the bowl, but i can't really break quicklites without making a mess, so i just stick to two

oolatec
Two rings of holes... one on the outer edge, and one just outside the inner hole.. and a few between each ring of holes spaced out. 2 whole quicklights (33mm) placed opposite each other. Works great.
