Elky
I'm a student in Boston, and pretty new to hookah. I currenetly go to a shop called Kang's Corner but I don't get vey good service. Anyone know anywhere better? Thanks
poopooshaboo
Skip Kangs Corner. There are a number of other, much better stores. My two personal favorites are Arax Market, on Mt Auburn Street in Watertown, and Leavitt and Pierce in Harvard Square. The owner of L&P is a great guy. The armenians at Arax can be a little surly sometimes, but they have an excellent selection of hookahs and shisha, as well as some good food. Also, there are some other good stores right on the street surrounding Arax that all have shisha and hookahs, but not quite as big a selection as Arax. Get off at the Harvard T-Stop, walk down past the ABP for about 2 blocks, and it will be on your right. They are "okay." Ive been there a few times, and they usually have Hookah Hookah or Azfal. Niether tobacco is terrible, but not a first choice IMHO. They also have good insta-light charcoal (soex-brand) and all the other hookah accessories you might need. Its all college students who work there, so if they dont have what you need, you can ask the people working there. Otherwise, ask some people where the Armenian Convienence stores are, they are all over the outskirts of Boston. Those will have what you need. Romman 50gs for a buck fifty? Hell yes!

Dr. Atkins
As of late, Leavitt & Pierce has had mostly 250g Afzal Tobaccos, 50g Al Fakher packs, and Starlite and Akhla quicklights.
smoker6146
I've found a serious lack of hookah stores and lounges in the Massachusetts/Rhode Island area. I believe there are 5 lounges in Mass. and 1 in Rhode Island. I'm actually in the process of looking to open one near Umass Dartmouth in Mass. poopooshaboo
I went to Kangs Corner last night. $25 for 250g of Romman? No thanks!!! In general the stuff (hookahs) I saw there were very low quality, and the shisha was some of the most overpriced I've ever seen. Like I said, stick with the Armenian markets. Arax and the ones by it are great.
Hookah_Bob3
I'm also in Boston, over on the BU side of charles. There's this little turkish market by packard's corner that has some hookahs, but only nahkla

MrMoodz
I googled it and this site listed 8 different places to go for hookah in Boston. Happy Hunting.http://www.yelp.com/list_details?list_id=z...etN0fDQ1Se3iw8w
poopooshaboo
I went to the Halal Meat Market today. 3 Flavors of Nakhla and Chinese Quick Lights were all I saw, though the nakhla (Double Apple, Banana, Strawberry), was only 4.99 a box. Sonthert
Leavitt & Pearce is thinking about picking up Tangiers...mention it to them...repeat after me:"We want Tangiers. We want Tangiers." Go in and tell them just that. You may see it there soon. I'm going to talk to them Monday.
Elky
That would be great. Umass D is only like 10 minutes from where I live when I'm not in school. Let me know if you end up going anywhere with that!
xen
Went to arax today...they were very nice and helpful, got a beautiful mya hookah as well. They had a very large selection of shisha, but i'm still on a quest to find somewhere to get some starbuzz or fumari. They also had a good amount of 3 kings coals including the larger ones.I checked out Leavitt and Pierce first and really wasn't impressed, the guy seemed a bit rude as well. They are more of a cigar store that happens to have a little bit of hookah stuff.

ForgetulRobot
Arax Market in Watertown. They have a good amount of hookahs to choose from and plenty of shisha too. A bonus of Arax Market is that you can pick up some Lebanese food/herbs/vegetables/tea while your there. I bought my first hookah (Mya QT) from there a couple years ago. Really nice people too. Kalutika
Does anyone know of any shops near Salem MA. I can't get out to boston much (unless it is for a job) considering the cost of gas around here. The only local we have carries some Layalina but a maximum of 5 flavors. I am working on the owner to order more but he is reluctant to buy new shisha. His business is mainly in cigars. jezter6
I'm going to be in Braintree in the evenings, and downtown Faneuil Hall. I saw Arax is like out of town or at least far enough that I won't make it. Anything downtown or Braintree near the T?

filmigeek
I went out to Arax in Watertown today, it's a great place. There's a good selection of hookahs - lots of Mya hookahs, I'm not sure what else. I picked up my brand new Mya mini there. There also seemed to be lots of shisha. I saw Al Fakher and Starbuzz and I think Layalina. There may have been other brands too. I'm not sure what kinds of coals because I didn't need any so I didn't ask. The place is a large Armenian grocery store; there are lots of great snacks there too of course. It's relatively easy to get to, it's right out on Mount Auburn street and easy to find. The 71 bus from Harvard Square should go right there; I live on the other side of the river, and I'm lazy, so I drove there. I've been to Leavitt & Pearce in Harvard Square a number of times too; they have a meager selection of Al Fakher and occasionally some Tangiers. They also have Soex shisha and Soex coals.
