my mod is all grimy, and i can't seem to get all of the caked on shisha juice off of it. how do you guys clean out your mods? does it make a difference if it's clean?

Soaking it in hot water should help (since it is glass)

Glass Mod :-
I leave it overnight in a mixture of bleach and washing up liquid.
Then just scrap any remaining crap out. Works a treat.

Copper Mod :-
Roast the thing in a burner [you know one of those butaine torches] then, when it's red hot.
drop it into some cold water. all the shit just floats off - brilliant!

I usually give mine a quick spray with olive oil cooking spray before use - keeps pretty much anything from sticking to it.

you don't taste that spray at all when you smoke?

This way WORKS.

Before I lost my glass mod =( this is how I would get it to look brand new.

Boil it in a pot with A LOT of baking soda. After a while you will notice stuff isnt coming off any more so pull it out and scrub it and everything will come off! If it isnt working add more baking soda.

But honestly the mod doesnt do anything in my opinion. I can pack bowles just as good without the glass.

It seems to mostly affect heat management and shisha conservation, for me. I have to use more coals when I smoke without it.

Do two bowls in a row, one with and one without the mod, same brand of shisha if not the same flavour, same coal and foil setup. You'll notice a difference.

best way as mentioned above boil hot water throw in mod add baking soda

and somthing i figured out a while ago which i shared is before inserting the mod into the bowl coat it with a sheet of cooking oil, it prevents most shisha buildup and most times can be cleaned by running it under the faucet in your sink.

i was actually thinking about posting something on how i do this...use a grill cleaner in a spray...spray it on leave it on for 15 minutes and then all the grime will wipe off and itll look like brand new...just make sure you clean it throughly afterwards

Do this...trust me it works awesome!

Get a small plastic container fill it with enough water to cover the Mod. Fill the mod with powder dish detegent (not liquid only the powder detergent). When I say fill it, fill it completly. I let it overflow. Then drop it straight down to the container filled with water. Leave it alone for a few hours (I usually do this over night) when you come back again just rinse the mod and all the gunk goes away. I'm actually doing a video on this.
