I just made some pictures of my QT base, it really looks thin in some places.

Check out the edges, it really looks like it might break if you put it a bit too hard on a table.
This one is new.. I read the older QT's have better glass. Anyone want to post some pictures to compare?


Doesn't show too great cuz of the flash, but at the top it really gets thin.

the base on my qt looks a bit thin as well. luckily for me it came w/a base protector (ordered it from H-S), probably kept if from cracking once or twice by now

so.... i broke my vortex base. i still have the metal ring that the stem screws into and was wondering if anyone has frankensteined their remains into a new hookah? i'm trying to avoid ordering another shitty base from mya... suggestions?

Haha, just buy another one. The screw on stems don't fit on anything but screw on Mya bases. Maybe buy an Acrylic base this time?

so the vortex stem will fit an acrylic eh? i tihnk thats what i'll do...

I;m not positive, but if it a screw-on Mya, i'm sure it will. Ask H-S or Mya. H-S will go out of their way and go find the two and otu them together to see what's up. They did that with a Bambino i was asking about recently.
