bapesta
Question. Is there a way to homemake a coal safely to have a session? Any ideas? It is really hard to get coals where I am, especially at this time of night, and I have a friend over from a far land and I'm trying to show this guy shisha before he departs : (OBS i'm not going to use BBQ coal
Canon
take apart a toaster and see if you can use those coils to put in place of the coals. thats all i can think of.
anathema
go buy or gather firewood and lighter fluid and set it up over a barbecuein 30 mins or so you'll get smaller pieces of wooden coalthese are low in terms of heat given off so you'll need like good chunks. there is a different taste to it than using natural coals. bapesta
Have you done that before? Is it safe?
anathema
Me? I wouldn't be 100% sure it's safe since I'm burning something that's used for heating purposes and not for inhaling purposes.Yes, I have done it before.Or were you talking about the toaster coils? OBY
It is pretty safe..... And also I think they have all natural BBQ coals that would be the same as a hookah only marketed for BBQ.I have used BBQ I just waited for the chemicals to burn off.... No one else would smoke with me but I had no odd tastes or felt any different and even had a long session.... But still that doesn't mean it is safe. But I am sure that if you get all natural BBQ coals then it would be fine.
Geiseric
I tried that once, out of desperation. I heated them like natural coals, over a burner. This issue I had was the CO coming off of them was way more intense than the normal, I was dizzy to the point of not being able to walk in minutes. I'm sure if I would have continued, I would have consumed dangerous levels of CO, but the initial dizzy feeling was fun.
