Cybersist
I have the disco version of this hookah, and the downstem of the hookah does not seem to unscrew...
Geiseric
The plain version of the pumpkin's stem is one solid piece, with nothing removable. It also has a bit of a design flaw, the hose has an auto seal, which obviously nulls the effectiveness of the release valve. The disco version can pretty much be stripped down to the top part of the shaft, with everything but the part of the hookah that pulls air from the base removed. Keep in mind that this hookah also has a lot of plastic parts, though. I would recommend the disco version for smoking on the go, but not for quality smokes. I have a fascination with minis because I like to go on trips with my hookahs, but I find that the tiny parts and cheap plastic parts tend to get dirty and/or give off a bad taste, not to mention, it is small, with very little water and a small chamber for smoke. I see that you have purchased the non-disco, which I really wasn't a fan of. It seems the discos construction was all together better, which seems unusual to me, I was expecting the gimmicky model to be less than well made.*Edit* To clarify, the auto-seal in the plain stem is non-removable, believe me, I have tried, but you would have to break it to get the ball bearing out.
