That's pretty sick. The "shock factor" publicity may help generate a bit of charity funding, but when all is said and done he still took the life of a dog in an agonizing manner. I suppose you could call it "art," but the ends don't justify the means in my opinion. Edited by Ralleac

Been pissing on faces?

Why isn't r. kelly pissing on a girl's face art? It's sick, it's wrong, it's stupid. does that make it any less art? Does it have some special meaning to him? Proabably not, (aside from the shock value that sells pop culture nowadays) but if it did it would be a form of self expression. Art.

Bad art, but art nevertheless.

How can you call this art at all? That's like saying it would be perfectly all right for me to line a dozen people up on a wall and shoot them in the head and use the wall as my canvas, the bloodspatter as my paint, and the slouched bodies as my sculptures. It's just wrong...

it also wasn't real. the dog was malnourished, but it was still fed and given water...it was a living exhibit trying to bring attention to all the other dogs just like it on the streets that noone pays any attention to...also exposed a lot of hypocrits who thinks it was cruel to have the dog in there, but didn't give two shits about the dogs on the streets.

The hipocrisy demonstrated by the people thinking this is unusually cruel is astounding.

It may be cruel, but it is far from unusual, so i'm not outraged.
If I couldve done something to convince this guy not to do that, I would've. But now that it happened, wtf is the point of throwing a hissy fit?

How many starving bums have you walked by on the street and not gave a SHIT about? How many have died on the same streets? The majority.

I think feeling sorry for this dog is a HUGE INSULT to the thousands of other stray, starving and abused dogs.

Short version: Big fucking deal, quit trying to act appropriate and look at the reality of the situation, stray dogs exist, this guy just brought it to our attention. Edited by Zabiela

everyone know stray dogs exist but the fact being is he got the dog tied it up and let it die in front of everyones face the dog would have been better off on the streets

the messed up part is if somebody tied him up to the same poll then didn't allow anybody to feed him so he could also experience first hand what that dog went through they would be considered the bad guy.

Also i just wanna throw in that my dog would probably take a bullet and or fight a bear for me if he sensed i was in danger, for that basis alone i treat him as my pet but i would never consider him inferior to a human, just different.

And yes stray dogs do exist, but taking another dog and having it killed in the hopes of bringing attention to the problem is the most fucked up ideology i could ever imagine, and if anyone truly finds this as art, you need to have your head examined and or see a psychologist for your own personal health.

Zabiela,

Your point is very valid--I can't even begin to guess how many homeless people I've seen on the streets and not gone out of my way to help them.

I'm sorry to say, that is all we can agree on. How exactly is feeling sorry for this dog a "HUGE INSULT" to the other stray dogs? I consider myself an avid animal lover (Grew up on a farm, own 5 dogs now) and any type of animal cruelty makes me so mad I could cry. I understand the point of this "art" but it has failed in so many ways. As I'm sure others have said (I didn't read this whole thread) what would have happened if he had taken a man off the streets and starved him to death? He would be thrown in jail for murder and kidnapping; and you know what? He'd deserve every human booster shot he got.

Everybody knows stray dogs exist, everybody knows homeless people run rampant but how exactly is killing them going to help "spread the message"? I just don't see it. Murder is NOT art. It is MURDER! He murdered this dog for no reason--raising awareness, my butt. I can appreciate the need to spread a message about this but aren't there better ways? How about taking pictures of various dog shelters and the horrible shape they're in? Wouldn't that be just as effective? All this man has done is given himself a tremendous amount of bad publicity and hatred throughout dog lovers such as myself.

This man is simply a monster. No better than the mosquito's I kill daily when they try to sustain themselves on my blood. He deserves the same fate.
