RichL
There's a hookah bar called Lazy Dayz in Newport News off of J Clyde Morris Blvd and thats about 20 minutes outside of williamsburg. The tobacco outlet in the shopping center at the intersection of 199 and rt.5 in williamsburg has lots of shisha and hookahs as well. The restaraunt 3 olives on by the intersection of monticello and richmond road has hookah to smoke but it is pricey. If I was in town I'd hook you up as I live in an apartment right by the college, but I am in springfield for the holiday.

EAK1791
And...NECROPOST! 5 years, that's pretty impressive. I'm studying at ODU, so I don't know the area terribly well, but I can tell you that Lazy Dayz is still in Newport News (also, they've opened a lounge in Norfolk, and are opening one this summer in Richmond). The Norfolk lounge is he only lounge I go to, if I'm not smoking my own hookah, considering it's the only place I've ever been to that hasn't sold the usual AF/Starbuzz/possibly Nak (if you're extremely lucky) combo. And they pack Tang pretty much as well as you can imagine in an egyptian. I'm sure the Newport News lounge is just as nice, and its right by the CNU campus, if you have any friends there. As far as in the city of Williamsburg, I can't help you.
Coyote
Yes. I have been to the lounge mentioned above both in Newport News and in VA Beach. They have Tangiers, they know how to pack it and manage the heat. They also have fun theme nights Its one of the best lounges I've been to actually. They have a retail section at both locations where you can get some specials on Tangiers. Oooh yeah... they also have booty shorts for sale
Poseidon
Thank you both for replying so quickly, I honestly did not expect this forum to be that active that I would be answered in a day. What are Tangiers? I go to the local "Hookah Lounge" and "City Hookah" a lot and I smoke hookah but I don't know how to prepare it or really anything but how to smoke it haha. Also, how close to W&M is it and is there a bus to the area because I won't have a car my first year.
headhunter
Tangiers it a tobacco type thats made here in the U.S. by eric. Almost everyone here on the forum smokes it, me included. Depending on the type they have there it could be unwashed or washed, the difference being that unwashed has more nicotine so it gives you much more of a buzz. Coyote
The only pack Noir at the lounge but they sells Lucid and Birquq and have Tangiers phunnel bowls as well.
Chreees
Tony explained to me on TC that even though Joshua and gang at the Newport News location suck at being on the forum (heh, not sure if many of you remember that one), they're a pretty good lounge. If I lived up that way I'd give it a shot based off of their selection and products they use.
Poseidon
Ok so that being said I have been reading avidly on the forum and I need to talk to the people at my local hookah bar to see which coals they use, which type of hookah, and which type of tobacco they use because they way they do it is perfect in my opinion. I live in Germany at the moment so any ideas as to what they might be using? I might not have the chance to go for two weeks because of graduation on the 8th and then that night i leave for a senior trip. Thanks again for all the information and help. Poseidon
I apologize for the multiple posts but it wont let me edit the two above this. I did some research and I found on two sites that the tobacco at the place i go is Nakhala, not sure if you all know what that is (i have been reading reviews on the flavors on this forum and it sounds like the same stuff) Is that available in Williamsburg because if it is what I use then I really like it. Check out these reviews: http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/5176-nakhla-reviews/ 22 pages worth of reviews since 2006. Should help ya out a bit. HF truly is a wonderful place for hookah knowledge. [/quote] And LZD they have to use QLs... But they sell coconut coals retail. They pack SB and Tangiers... but who cares about SB... am i right or am i right? lol... They usually smoke Myas, they HAD a regal at one point, it might still be there. And yes Chreees- I remember that lol. Josh is a good guy no doubt but that one employee they had got a little heated. I know that he was reprimanded pretty harshly though. Poseidon- when are you going? I have to head down there to do some stuff maybe we can have a Tangiers meet-up! Hopefully Tony can come out. Maybe some Nova peeps? We can make a weekend out of it.
Chreees
It was Josh himself, the manager of the Newport News location, that did the asshatery on here... LZDJoshua was his username. He was cool when I talked to him on TC up until the incident that happened. Why do they have to use QLs, just out of curiosity? But yes, who gives a flying bleep about SB? Poseidon
Coyote I go back to the states at the end of july and then we should meet up and you can tell me about the "hookah community" in the area, atm im still overseas with my family but i go downtown tonight so ill ask them what type of coals and what type of hookah and try to stay sober enough to remember to tell you. EAK1791
I am down for a meetup in July. I just need a date pretty soon, since I've got to ask off for work almost a month in advance. But I've been missing myself some LZD. And it is a damn shame they use quicklights, but at least they make sure they're fully lit (most of the time) before they go on the bowl. Also, the last time I was there (I think in April, sometime) the Norfolk location still had a Regal. And Jay (the owner of all the locations) is actually working on an all glass hookah to compete a bit with Crown. There are pictures of a prototype somewhere on Facebook.
