jonny_lech
I keep having coals fall off the big ass phunnel bowl. I'm tired of it. It's burned my new carpet twice But if I had a really big tray, this would fix the situation. Any suggestions? Anyone have any links to big trays? netstorm
I found a link in google, type in hookah tray, the first one that pops up has some for 5 bucks. The site doesnt allow links to it, so beware i'm not sure if it's a good site.I also had problems previously with carpet burning, I would recommend getting something to put underneath as well. Maybe some type of plastic thick mat that would slow the burning. Obviously a large metal type mat would work best, but would probably cost a lot. Check out lowes, or home depot if you are in the states, they have all kinds of things you could check out.
guyt
you could make your own using cardboard and foil for pretty cheap.
Canon
use your foil to make a cup around the coal so it doesnt fall out. or you can use a wind cover if you have one. or just put something like cardboard under the hookah to catch your loose coals. or you can break up your coal so its smaller pieces and less likely to fall off your bowl (40 mm makes 3 good pieces and 33mm makes 2 good pieces. that also helps with heat management
KillZedKill
The trays on the H-S syrians are large enough to catch funnel coals. Try asking them for one or see if they have one to buy.
olooko
if you want you can make one. Go buy a Stainless Steel plate, and drill a hole in it.

leadpipecinch21
my tray is pretty huge, but it still can't catch the coals that happen to fall off the funnel occasionally. one thing i do to combat the falling is to press down the foil over the mod so that there's a little flat shelf of sorts around the top...works fantastic, and since i started doing it i've only had one coal fall...not a bad rate... Sariél
Marie Callendars sells them. They come with a free pie, but you have to make your own hole in the middle.

btuner
flip a cup upside down that is the same width as the bowl, take a piece of foil and shape it over the base of the cup to make a dome, then cut slits in the top with a razor blade for air flow, take foil off cup and fit over the top of the bowl making a nice wind cover/anti-coal dropper. never once have i nor any of my friends dropped a coal using this method. ill post a how to later in that section
