camelflage
the internet browser is fine, but the lack of push email makes the phone kind of useless for advanced use. sweet interface though, and the touch feedback is fun.

ZenSilk
And Verizon = No Iphone. That's why they put this little mother out. And they wont be getting it in the future... this is their competition. They turned down Steve Jobs cause he wanted too much, he came to Verizon first with the Iphone. Jeff_T
If you are looking for a more advanced phone, with push e-mail, full browser, etc. I'd go with one of the new Blackberry Pearls. If this is an option.... They look awesome and have a very good camera for a verizon phone.

SafeSearchOff
not a blackberry pearl. get like i think its called "blackberry curve" or "blackberry world edition"also zen i dont htink it was because jobs was asking too much, i think i heard verizon said "it was too simple" referring to like how it handled its connection and data stream and such.on another note, verizon announced that any phone that operates on the same frequency on their service you can unlock and use o ntehir service, ie, a sidekick. anyone know if this holds true for the iphone? Jeff_T
Verizon uses CDMA tech. not GSM, so phones for T-mobile and Cing. are out, I don't think it matters if they have any of the same bands. I think GSM in the U.S. is primarily 850 and 1900. CDMA is 800/1900/2000(EvDO). I think this "unlocking" will only work for Alltel and Sprint phones. Maybe Rogers and Bell as well. Cybersist
You cannot unlock a Cingular phone for Verizon usage. BUT!!!!http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articl...927112007-1.htmVerizon Wireless to Introduce 'Any Apps, Any Device' Option for Customers in 2008! Whether or not this will go for iPhones....well its up to Apple if they want to let that happen...they make the firmware afterallOR!!!You can wait for Google's service to launch. They are going to have some pretty sweet HTC phones Edited December 6, 2007 by Cybersist
Jeff_T
I really hope that when this change rolls out that it is amazing as it sounds. Its been way to long that verizon has been limiting their customers phones wants/needs, but hopefully no more. It would be a godsend to have a contract, let it expire, and go month-to-month forever, being able to switch phones at the drop of a hat. I have wanted a Nokia powerhouse, such as the N95, or a Sony Ericsson for so long. Much better interfaces, capabilities, music systems and camera than Verizon phones could imagine. We can only pray...
ZenSilk
I'ver heard alot about google. The way i see it, is if i just get 2 more years with verizon and get a Voyager, and Google will maybe have come out by then, and then i can witch to them. Depending, of course, on their reliability. Jeff_T
Sounds like a pretty good plan. I'm up in like 6 months and after that its month to month until I see what Verizon does with this new plan and see how google does too.
