Heat Managment

Recommended Posts

Is there any problem with keeping a uniform layer of coals over the entire bowl, as long as you don't scorch the shisha? Wouldn't that produce PLENTY of smoke without being harsh as well? I'm used to smoking a traditional tobacco pipe and am just doing some comparisons. With some experimenting with layers of foil I would imagine you could find a method that would work..........any thoughts? I'm lazy, just looking for a way where I wouldn't have to touch it for a good hour or more. lol

With a tobacco pipe it's all about draw and heat managment, I would imagine it's the same for a Hookah, except in one case you are "cooking" the shisha vs. the other of burning the tobacco............ Edited by roadie

Ive only used quick light so far(got some Olivewood coals on the way though)but right now I use one and a half tabs of three kings. One whole one on one side and half right acros from it, and I get good smoke out of it. If I wanna show off, ill use one and 3/4 tabs and I can block out the sun.
