Would like to know if the mods and everyone else on here are getting sick of the same old questions and replys.

I think it would be nice to have thing up top to the right of where it says hookahforum.com. Something like use the search before posting general topics, because most (including me) didn't know about the search when we first got on here. Just an idea.

In life rules are all around us. Saying that its in the forum rules, which many including myself have never looked at doesnt help. It needs to state it better. I just see the same stuff and it has to take a toll on JD, Mush, and all other mods...

anyone with half a brain knows that it is faster to use the search, you don`t need to be a genius to figure that out.

if people dont bother to read the rules they shouldnt be upset when the first reply to their question is "use search".

I don't think it's so much as matter of them getting upset, as it is being simply unfriendly and bordering on hostile, which can affect the forums in a holistic way. It's also not very helpful to tell someone "go search", and if someone had said that to me, when I made my first post asking a question about the Heba diffuser, I probably would not have come back.

If you're going to take 5 seconds to reply to a sincere question with "go search", you may as well 15 seconds to do the search yourself, post a link or two, and in this way teach the new member the benefits of searching without being unfriendly to them. Edited December 2, 2007 by gaia.plateau

Well said. I agree with this.

I just think if your going to hit the reply button... try and be a little helpfull and fluffy to new members. New members are the lifeblood of any vibrant forum.
