gaia.plateau
I find Egyptian hookahs to generally be pretty boring... in fact I haven't seen a single one that I would even consider buying. So... Myas.

theonlyagent
I have the Khalil Mamoun Ezlabeia which is a pretty standard egyptian (except its 39" tall). It smokes great and I love it. If your looking for a good egyptian, you can't go wrong with a Khalil Mamoun. The have nice ones at Hookah-Life.com, as well as relatively cheap ones at Pimp Your Hookah
New2Hookah
If you want the best, don\'t get either of them. Get a Syrian. You won\'t be disappointed.

ZenSilk
Hookahs don't usually smoke better than other hookahs. So if you want a classy looking very functional extremely sturdy pipe that you can trust willn ot rust, get a Mya. If you buy a KM, it has a higher chance of rusting because the materials are not as high quality. They are nice pipes, but your better off wiht a Mya. Just cause it's a "KM" doesn't make it that much more amazing. Aesthetically mya's are better pipes, and will last you quite a bit longer.

Every other Egyptian I've looked at has more or less the same stem. I didn't even know that the KM was an Egyptian, it looked more like a Syrian to me. I'm a newb, apparently. The KM is superior aesthetically.
New2Hookah
Alot of people hate MYA...for good reason too. Just do a little research. Bottom line is, if you want a tank, get a brass cored Syrian. If you want a fussy hookah that could give you several problems down the road get a MYA. Sure you can get a decent mya for what...$160. But why do that, when you can get a much better hookah, for less! Your call...
EternalSoil
The mya hated is because of the thin bases that came out when thy switched glass companies. i haven't heard anything else about them since then... i just dont like the common chamber. MechAnt
The frosted like glass is the weak ones now. They used to be good but these days, that are crap. Mya's nonfrosted bases are fantastic still. Thick and sturdy. Just avoid the frosted!
guyt
The King tut is pretty damn nice, but it is a terrible party hookah, if thats what you want. No autoseal so you always have to remind people. I have it and I almost never use more than two hoses. but it is an amazing 2 hose hookah. if you get it get the genie base. It holds an insane amount of smoke.

Zildjian
yes it is a clear base and yes they are very sturdy. i have smoked from them on several occassions and in fact bought a very similar base tonight from the mya shop (same shape different color pattern). very thick glass and a nic hookah all together
Zildjian
not all mya purge valves are bad, just the circular ones on those. but get a bigger ball and youre fine
boulderkid303
Mya- New look pretty good hookahs overall, but they do have many weak points. If you spent the same amount on a qt or diva you could get a nice KM for about 10 bucks more. But i do like mya's top of the line hookahs as in the gyro, vortex, etc. But the KMs I believe are the best hookahs out there.
shisha fan
i recently bought an all brass syrian off ebay for 50 euros including shipping ($74 at the time) and it is a really solid smoke, so maybe you should also consider that. here`s a link: http://www.hookahforum.com/index.php?act=f...&pid=174226
