lynzblythe
Okay, I think I made ma'assel...Haha. I cut up some oranges and squeezed out most of the juice. Then I tore apart about 9 or 10 Djarum Special clove cigarettes. Mr. Honey Bear wanted to join in, so I dumped in some of his goodness. And then I mixed it all together. I looked to my Romman for consistency. This is the finished product, all bagged up and ready to smoke. I'll just have to acquire a hookah first...I also need to find a small scale so I can weigh it...hmm.

lynzblythe
Thank you for the comment...I'm not sure if ghetto fabulous is a compliment. It'll be a while until I get a hookah, but...when I do...I'll let you know!
lynzblythe
Oh, Mr. Bubble: Clove cigarettes because I love the smell of cloves. My earliest memory was in 2nd grade, where we pushed cloves into oranges and gave them out as gifts. Odd, I'm sure. Nonetheless...cloves and oranges smell fantastic together! Plus, I don't ever really smoke the real cigarettes. hahaha

jmexx
Someone in another forum mentioned this type of tobacco used to make ma'assel, it was bagged tobacco that was VERY moist and mostly natural. I'd love to give it a shot sometime but I have plenty of ma'assel to get rid of. I just bought a box of Nahkla orange, any good? I'm used to smoking Al Amir and AF, pretty much the premium brands, I smoked Nahkla back in the day, before I even knew what it was. Anyways, looks cool, props for the effort! Send some over here, I'll let you know if it's any good Happy smoking,Jon

Stew
let me know how the vodka flavour goes. BTW, I'd rather see pipe tobacco or something other than cigarette tobacco or clove-something used.
alen
the only homemade tobacco i have smoked was with a lebanese guy -he used pipetobacco and raisin molasses(you can find different molasses on glassjars in most middle-eastern foodshops - it was ok and it smoked but i think i leave it to the real pros to make my smoke

John Deere
I used to like the black ones, but not so much anymore, after I met the hookah. btw, I love the knife in th picture, its like you killed them.
lynzblythe
Hahaha, sorry dikydave! I just didn't feel like smoking them anymore. I mean, in that form. How do you like Djarum Splash, dave? Hey, for all of you that are looking for a plain tobacco, I know when Shisha-Emirates was doing the $.99 250g thing, they had Zaghoul and Zaghoul Lite. As far as I know, this is just a non-flavored tobacco used in shisha. I ordered a box of it, so I'll let you know how it is once it arrives. I assume this would be much better to use than pipe or cig tobacco.
lynzblythe
I used to smoke tea leaves...back when i was way younger. JD: I like the knife too. I was actually going for the "freshly killed cigarettes" look. haha

cypress
I am curious as to how that is going to taste. You might want to try it soon since i didnt see if you added any preservatives (glycerin) to your mixture.

Splashes were ok but they kinda bit at the back of my throat so i only had the one pack of them and that was enough. I've tried all of the djarums now though, so im prolly gunna haveta move onto gudang garam or some other clove brand.
