Kofod
Fake Nakhla - brought to you after public demands from Mr. Bubble There's a ton of different things you can look for in order to pin point the fake Nakhla from the real deal. But in the interest of "easyness" and for your convenience there's one tell tale that always works. Nakhla will always have a cellofane cover with a red strip (the strip thing that makes you shred open the cellofane easily). In this strip will be written "Nakhla Tobacco", on some written in transparant letters others will be in different colours. This thing always work and it gives you the security that even if the boot-leg manufacturer took an original pack and stuffed it with fake, after selling or smoking the real thing, (in which case all you efforts to identify the pack it self would be in vain) the cellofane still could'nt be recycled and will unveil the culprit. When the cellofane is not present? If you find your self at a market stand or like and the seller only have one pack left. For instance the one he used for "display". The unwrapped one people can open and smell and look at. You have no cellofane to reveal the origin but no reason to be sure its bad. Again you go for the letters and take advantage from the pack being opened. The inner wrapping will be a "soft-polymer" closed bag again with "Nakhla Tobacco" now written in white. I doubt the copyist will make the effort on copying that. Should the copycat have recycled this one it will have to be opened more than you would like real thing or not. Sariél
I just bought some nakhla strawberry from a lounge on Ventura Boulevard in encino, it had no red stripe, and had the taste of artificial strawberry and isopropyl alcohol. I think I'll stick with AF.
ZAP
Thanks for the info. I used to get 25g packs of Nakhla from a local shop and they were never packed properly. Often the box was even open. Oh well, I haven't smoked any Nakhla in the last 8 months
