sss8789
So I was wandering if the diffuser make the setion a lot better or if it just quiets it down because the hookah lounges around here don't use them and they get amazing clouds. Or is it needed more on my 14" qt,compared to the 30" hookahs, because it doesn't have as much time to cool down?
Akkbar
diffusers aren't needed. they are completely optional. that being said, all of my hookahs have diffusers, and i seem to get more flavor out of my shisha. as well, i enjoy the noise reductionmine are all made out of clear 1/2 inch vinyl tubing with holes cut into them. they work great
ZenSilk
I actually just used a diffuser last night for the first time. My friend brought over his Glyph and i had my JandR. The diffuser makes the smoke...how should i say???...smoother..but lighter and creamier as well if you understand what im going at. I think it does make a difference. But yes, the pull is rather hard, and with a Syrian and a diffuser it's rather tight.
PirateNinja415
the diffuser won't fit on the qt, but i've used that 3 straw mod from the how to section, and it's definetly quieted down my hookah and made the smoke thicker
Canon
ive done it with my diffuser and without on my glyph, i dont really notice much of a difference. maybe if i have ice in the base it cools it down more, but thats about it.
Geiseric
It does make the pull very hard on a Syrian, or at least those with a thin downstem. The only large (working) hookah I have right now is a Syrian and I opt out on the diffuser more often than not because of it. It worked a lot better on my other hookahs, works fine on my medium Egyptian, but that has a VERY wide stem. Canon
reall? it doesnt effect the pull on my glyph that much, do you use the large heba diffuser? also how high do you put your water level?do you modify your water level when you put the diffuser on? (the diffuser adds length to your stem, so if your stem is farther under water then the pull will be a bit harder)
racemyghost
diffuser all the way. feels like it gives the "pull" a better response.
Cybersist
I have a cork diffuser on my mini pumpkin, and I think it helps with noise reduction and smoother smoke. But I don't think a diffuser is so great that it is a "must have"....

pavlakos
ive done the straw thing a couple times on my egyptian, but i didnt notice much of a difference except for the redused noise. but since i like the bubbling i save diffusers for times where i wanna smoke and watch a movie.
