Texico
I'm going to be buying a 26" Syrian hookah from JandRhookahs, and I need to get a carrying bag to go with it. What I'm interested to know is do any of you have any experience with the ones for sale on the net? I've looked at the ones on socialsmoke, hookahkings, and some other sites, but the the descriptions aren't really that informative. I tried e-mailing hookahkings last week, and I have yet to get a response from them.
Sdzier2
I know when I had my larger hookah, instead of buying a carrying case I would just disassemble it and put it in a duffle back and just make sure everything was secure. I never had any problems with it, and nothing ever broke on it.(ironically the hookah broke at a party and not in transportation.) If you really are planning on moving your hookah around that much I would just suggest the mya bambino. Its what I am currently smoking out of and its great. It comes with a hardshell carrying case and it smokes just like its larger counterparts. I take it all over the city with me and its easy to move around. Thats my two cents... thecoalition
i have gone through a couple travel bags. Most of them are garbage. Basically cheap nylon over cardboard with a strap. Instead I bought a hardcase that is normally used to store a trumpet. I gorilla glued thick eggcrate foam and then cut out the shape of my base and stem. Then i stitched in some velcro straps to hold it all down. It worked for quite a while but when i bought a new hookah it came with a hard mya case which is nice enough. ZenSilk
Maybe try a carrying bag from Social Smoke? I heard they are pretty good.
oolatec
For my 26" J&R, I just use my backpack. Disassemble it into all its pieces, wrap the base in a bath towel or something. Works just fine. Not the perfect solution, but it's less $$$ I have to spend.
Canon
i got my bag as a "freebie" from hs when i ordered my glyph. i love it, i can put my hookah and hookah stuff in it and just throw it over my shoulder, it keeps it secure so i dont have to wrap any towels around it (i dont throw the bag around, so i dont worry about it breaking)my girlfriend has the hard carrying case.i like my bag better personally because you can just "throw" everything in there in no specific order, with the case everything has its place. ahwahoo2006
I just picked up a hard tool case for $19.99 and some foam for like $1.99 at home depot today. I plan on putting them together and making a nice case cheaper than anything you can buy online and will work much better.
Texico
I didn't realize so many people just wrapped their hookahs up in a duffle or back pack. I have a small duffle that I might use, now. If that doesn't work, I might buy the bag from H-S. Thanks guys.

Christama
I got a free carrying bag when i bought my rotator locally. Well, on the way to the car, the strap broke. Luckily in the fall the only thing damaged was the bowl, and they gave me a new bag and bowl. Now I just use my Odyssey backpack I got when I worked in a bike shop.
