yup because unless you store it vaccuum sealed, air will always be able to get into the containers. I try not to store anything over a month tops.

Is a month really the limit? I'm afraid I won't be able to smoke my shisha that quickly since I only smoke once or twice a week. I guess I should never expect to buy 250g tubs

It's generally the rule of thumb. Depending on how/where you store it, it can keep a bit longer. I've had shisha last over 2 months with no flavor or smoke loss but other times I have. Hit or miss but one month is the rule of thumb if in doubt.

Airtight= 2 years

I have had some AF for over a year and it still has flavor and smokes good.

Generally wet flavours like AF will lose their concistensy as time passes ( 1-2 monthsafter box is opened). dryer shisha (nakhla etc) will last months even years with out losing a tad bit of its flavour or smoke quality. thats why i consider nakhla a good quality traditional product but am not really a big fan of its flavours

So then, what's the best way to store shisha? I was just thinking of tupperware containers put in the fridge, is that not so good? How would one "air tight" a container to keep the shisha for longer?

lock n locks! work like a charm. and its much more than 2 months. i have some that is like 4 or 5 months old tastes fine smokes fine

you could try just leaving it in a ziplock bag and keep the bag in an airtight container.

AW almost 1 year old, smokes fine

AF over a year old, smokes fine


the reason they are so old is becuase I do not like the flavors much and 250 lasts a while when you smoke it once or twice a month

You could probably find little airtight jars with latches or something, I've seen them before that should work.
