Cobra Hose Problem

Recommended Posts

i dont know much about the cobra hoses other than they aren't washable. If you want a hose that wont rust though, spend the extra buckas and get a Nammor, they seem to be the most popular right now and they are fully washable, thus rust free.

wow did I get beaten to that! Edited by Elky

I have had the hookahshisha (second one) cobra hose and I can tell you they are great. I got mine used from a hookah bar with a hookah for an extremely cheap price. I can tell you right now that you shouldnt have any problems with the second type as long as you clean it properly. I had mine for over a year and never got any bad taste out of it. hope my advice helps! Edited by Sdzier2

Well I mean I would just run water through them and then just make sure it dried quickly. Just make sure nothing is left inside of it that can corrode the hose or simply leave a bad taste for the next time you use it.

i don't feel i need to repeat my opinion on cobra hoses. it's been stated at least 2 or 3 times in other cobra hose related threads. needless to say, it's a negative opinion. get a nammor. not only is it as big as a garden hose, its the easiest thing to clean

well, man. thanks for the help. you've been very helpful. and i definitely feel better about buying one from hookah-shisha. that's what i was looking for. i'm sure i won't have difficulty keeping it from rusting. that other crappy one from HookahKings didn't stand a chance.

and to everyone (since everyone loves the Nammor): i am definitely going to get a Nammor. maybe not yet. I have a washable mya hose that came with my Mya. i will probably like the Nammor a lot better, but i don't think i can live without a functional cobra. there's just something about it. iono, that's just me.

thank you all for your help and advice

i've not gotten a cobra from hookahkings, but i've had several from hookah-shisha that lasted a good year. they're going to rust, but for what they cost its not painful to replace them every so often.

yeah. i think what i'm going to do is not buy another cobra until my other HookahKings cobra is rusted out. thanks for the advice. i have to realize that I should EXPECT to replace any non washable hose; whether or not it rusts easily. and yes, i agree that it would be worth it to replace it every so often. it's not like i'm hurtin' for money.

i have 2 cobra hoses from hookah-shisha there are perfect but when i had my own little hookah establishment we used mya tips and ends with home depot tubing and i have a feeling when i get my rotator im going to do cut up these cobras and turn them into washable hoses.

wow! what a bad-ass idea! how exactly did you do it? i think i'm going to at least try that with one of my cobras (the one that has rust inside the hose). the ends should still be okay if i rinse it out, right?

maybe post a how-to thread in that forum? smile.gif

They do rust after a couple of months but what can you expect from a 10-dollar-product. No hose is worth if you consider you can get a Nammor for $25

i think i'll be doing that with one of my old cobra hoses. i think that may be wiser than buying another type of cobra from an different company.
