Geiseric
First off, this isn't a rant against MNhookah, it is a rant against one of their (or their credit company's) policies. They were actually pretty good and explaining it to me, and doing what they needed to do. Doesn't change that I'm pretty goddamn pissed off.So anyways, I was ordering some stuff off of MNhookah. About 70$ worth. Being a poor college student, this is all I could afford, I needed the rest of my money for bills and groceries. After I made the order, I checked my online bank statement to make sure it went through right. To my surprise, I had been charged twice. I called MNhookah, and they said it was because my first run through, I had typed in the wrong billing address. While navigating to the next page at that time (not the final transaction) it said as much, and I had fixed it, and thought nothing of it. Well, apparently this constitutes them taking the money from me anyways, and holding it, because he said he would report it and yada yada yada I would have it back in 24 hours. 24 hours later I contacted him again, I he said 48 hours. No big deal, he can't know, but am I the only one who thinks it is BULLSHIT that they took my money twice because of a TYPO? I need the money as of yesterday, but for some reason they think they are within their rights to take my fucking money and return it at their leisure. As you can tell, I am a little peeved. Its been 48 hours, I still don't have MY money back, and I am a day late on a bill because of it. I have NEVER, EVER had this happen before, and I type fast, and often make mistakes on order forms resulting in them getting rejected, and have to repeat them. None of them took my money twice. What the hell is this?Has anyone else had this happen before?

thecoalition
It happens alot with online orders because people can commit various acts of online fraud by different people. Its usually used as a safeguard so that they do not send you two orders and you pay for one. As we know most people will not call the company back and say hey you sent me more than i paid for. that's why they do it.
Johnny_D
Normal Transactions i'm afraid Geiseric. For instance :- If I purchase something the money is gone from my account within seconds. If I get refunded it takes 3-5 working days.Just another way of being raped by the banking system.JD
Geiseric
I understand the slowness of the refund, but what I don't get is why the hell I was even charged in the first place. I didn't finalize the transaction, I made the mistake way before I actually finished, and it caught it right away, told me, and I fixed it. How do they justify charging me.. but charging me the price of my order for not putting in the right address, before I even made the purchase.... It just doesn't seem rational. After that (on my first order to them) I just checked them off. In state or not, it's not my job to fix their sillyness. Too easy to find someone that can make their system work to put up with that. Geiseric
Really? This combined with the fact that they are in Eagan, three hours from me, and I still don't have my package, I don't think they will have my custom anymore. I finally got the money back. 3 days later. Grrr.
